FanDuel Sports Networks will reportedly shutter soon unless DAZN sale closes

I have no idea if this is it, but they did have bad timing. They bought a company with a ton of debt and all of the regional sports networks are losing viewership. Their plan was to buy a ton of them and then merge them into one entity and I just think the amount of debt they had to take on is...

    2025 NFL Circa Survivor Pool

I've seen people outright sell shares of their bet as well if you're having a hard time finding enough ways to hedge.

Kevin Garnett rejoins Timberwolves in off-court role, will have jersey retired!

That's when I had season tickets too. At the time, I lived in Minneapolis and worked downtown. I couldn't give the tickets away. I had these conversations once a week: "Hey, do you wanna go to the Wolves game tonight?" "The Wolves stink" "Yeah, but you'll get to watch Dwight Howard up close"...

Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Daniel Jackson was one of my favorite Gophers of the last 20 years but you're not wrong.

    Funny tweet on NIL

One of my clients hired an AI consultant for $1.8M to download Co-pilot and do 3 trainings on basic AI (co-pilot, using internal open AI, etc.). My point? With Capitalism you're free to make terrible decisions too.

    How To Fix College Football

Carson Beck made $4M from Miami last year and Arch is between $5.5M-$7M. How much do you think Miami would pay for Justin Fields? Fields might not be the best example because maybe someone gives him another shot and maybe he'd take less to try to get another QB1 opportunity. That said, I think...

All Things P.J. Fleck Rumor Mill Thread - Listed as Candidate for Other Jobs

No, you're right. I don't think he wins enough right now for Michigan to be interested. I do think he would win a lot more with more talent but I don't think many programs of Michigan's caliber are going to try to sell that to their fan base (to our benefit).

    How To Fix College Football

Other than what have been determined as arbitrary NCAA rules that been typically seen as unreasonable restraints on trade, what is stopping Justin Fields from returning to college? They are all professionals now, what is stopping someone from pursuing more money in a different league?

All Things P.J. Fleck Rumor Mill Thread - Listed as Candidate for Other Jobs

IMO, the Michigan fans that I know want the best of both worlds but at the end of the day they'll default to the side of winning. You'll hear weird shit where they'll talk about how it's more difficult to win at Michigan than Ohio State/Alabama/Etc. because of their integrity but at the same...

Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

You're 100% right. I'd rather go max protect and give TJ or Bateman another .5 seconds to get open then dump the ball down to Rodney Smith for a 2 yard gain. IMO, as someone who doesn't love the west coast offense, there just aren't many people in college who can go through the progressions...

Does OKC have a shot at the all time regular season win record

Aesthetically, that is really hard to watch. The NBA changed the game in the 90's/00's to go to a more skill-based game. Some would argue it went too far, reasonable people can disagree. This type of flopping is considerably worse for the game (IMO), it's hard to watch.

Does OKC have a shot at the all time regular season win record

I don't think they'll do it. You make a move like that to get over the hump. They already have a title and one of the best teams of all time. I think they'll stay the course.

Players you’d like to see recognized with a banner at The Barn

I loved Sam Jacobson when I was a little kid. I was in grade school when my dad packed me and my buddies into our Astrovan to drive to Cottage Grove to watch him. That said, I don't think he is quite the caliber of having your jersey retired. Bobby Jackson was the best player on our best team...

Drake Lindsey WILL BE BACK with the Gophers!!!!!!!

I hear what you're saying but I think last year's offense would have been one of our worst if not for good QB play. We did very little to help him out. Our receivers weren't great, we couldn't run the ball, and our offensive line struggled. You're not wrong, at times, he was certainly part of...

Dylan Raiola Goes down as easy as….

Another bad sign of a joke is when the punchline is "well something". No matter what side of the political aisle you're on, if your punchline ends with "well something", that's. . . well something. Do you see how awful that is? Every year Rockraven melts down on one of his burner accounts, the...

Dylan Raiola Goes down as easy as….

These cringey jokes work a lot better when they tactlessly make a point that is true. Charlie Kirk died from a 30.06. That is enough to kill every single human. People hunt Grizzly Bears with that caliber. He didn't go down easily at all. There are much better examples of people who went down...
