We had 42 kids on roster. When we run our #1 defense we have 11 guys on defense and 2 offense running the scout offense as fast as we can go. That's 33 kids practicing all at once and the no2s on defense rotating in very 3 or 4 plays... We also run our offense in a similar way So our entire...

They don't love it that much, they give teams 40 medals for section championship games. If your team has more people than 40, you buy the rest. Even the 9-man teams have more than 40 people who deserve a championship medal. Coaches, trainers, managers, they all had something to do with the...

    Where are you setting the parameter to consolidation? 4A - 6A? 57 teams in 9-man 58 in 1A 55 in 2A 55 in 3A 44 in 4A 46 in 5A 32 in 6A

I think if you really wanted a chance to have great games in the semis and finals in 5A though 9-man you would need the state tournament to start at the section championship and then seed 1-16. But that even gets weird because you would need to have a better system in place than the QRF. The...

In class 1A nobody cou No body in class 1A could match up with Minneota... That includes Bold. The start of the section championship game was way out of character for Minneota. They returned a ton of guys from a Championship team the year before. I think they only graduated 3 starters, I could...

Both teams playing with back up QBs was a let down. SM was a high powered offense when healthy and showed how high powered they were with their best WR having to play QB most of the game. Hard to say how it goes if Both Qbs were around at the end of the game.

What I was referring to is how good are they? if they played a 3A schedule do they go 6-2? I wasn't questioning if they need to move up...

I don't always see things clearly, but this one turned out just like I thought it would... 500+ yards rushing in the title game is a thrashing. I also wish commentators would stop with the 2nd best team when talking about Springfield. Sure they get the 2nd place trophy, but they most likely are...

Imagine a world where the MSHSL finds common sense and uses the sections for something other than playoffs... So logical they will look elsewhere for answers. Very hard for section seeding to be viewed as it should when teams play 0 or 1 section game. Ideocracy at its finest. Not to mention...

In the district I coach in, income has 0 to do with who is and who isn't out for sports. I also know that in some local districts on Fall sports meetings, orientations, and other school functions they have required the filling out of the free and F-&-R paperwork to help lower the enrollments to...

If we use past criteria for setting classification will all schools play in 1 class since all kids are on free and reduced lunch now? I'm joking obviously, but in I am still assuming the MSHSL will manipulate the numbers in some way to seem progressive to what other states are doing. I may be...

IMHO After watching both the class A and 2A games I feel you are spot on with the 2A game in your write up. But he class A game I don't think will be super close. Mahnomen racked up over 230 yards rushing on Springfield with its 3 yards and a cloud of dust split back veer and most of that in...

No, I like people having freedom to do as they see fit with their own business... Do i think the MSHSL does things perfect, absolutely not. But I am adamantly against them having the government step in and force them to do something while having to then fund it as well.

In a state with REDICULOUSLY high taxes, Id rather just deal with the situation we have of not broadcasting the quarter and simi final rounds over the air than have more taxes added to the states tax payers. Government over reach is an issue and this is just another situation that would fall...

That article defiantly doesn't explain what's really going on INHO. Its like picking up a book and trying to figure out what happened halfway through. I do know WV has a power point system where a loss to a school 1 class above is worth more or the same as win in the same class as you are. I...

Some guys love turning programs around. That's more of an accomplishment to many than taking a perennial power and continuing to win. Many coaches around the country are know as program flippers.
