I hear your point. I could also argue that if a 6A team can truly kick the ass of 5A teams, they should not be playing a relief schedule in the first place. Frankly, I would be fine with doing away with it altogether.

I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseam, but relief scheduling is beyond dumb. If teams cannot compete, they should be able to appeal to play in a lower class for two years maximum.

I am aware of all of this. I think you missed by point. If the teams in the same districts end up being the same as they are for conferences either by intent or accident, it would render the need for "districts" in 6A pointless. I realize we are not there yet, but it appears to be heading in...

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sold on all the teams in the West being thrilled at the prospect of adding Maple Grove to an already brutal schedule.

Makes sense I guess, but the MSHL would open a huge can of worms if they allow a school to chose their district. If they do so for one team, they could not justify not following the same requests for any other school; a precedent I'm sure they don't want to set.

In 6A, I've got North, Tonka, Shakopee, and Maple Grove. The only game I see as a toss up is North and Anoka.

Cromwell-Wright lost to Nevis 48-8 back in September and then upset them 20-14 last night. That's a really impressive turn around from Cromwell-Wright!

I don't think EP can beat Maple Grove tomorrow. That is not necessarily a knock on Eden Prairie, they are a good team, it's just that Maple Grove is a great team. They will win this one 31-14.
