Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I'm not so sure he's more talented than Gabriel or Pickett and the experts in the NFL didn't seem to think so even before the draft. The NFL draft profile for Pickett was 6.4, Shedeur 6.3 & Gabriel 6.1. Most of the reason the shine has come off of Pickett is because he's been competing against...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

His teammate, Travis Hunter, seems pretty humble even though he could be the cockiest guy in the room.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

https://www.sportico.com/personalities/athletes/2025/shedeur-sanders-nfl-draft-slide-contract-1234850068/ Don't get me wrong, I wish Shedeur nothing but the best. It looks like he's going to have to do it the hard way, relatively speaking, moving forward. A lot of competition to be the Browns...

Kordell Stewart doesn’t have his number retired. He won two bowl games and finished in the top 10 twice. But he wasn’t the coach's son. 🤷‍♂️

It seems Shadeur made his dad a lot of money with his excellent college QB play and Deion lost his son a lot of money because NFL teams aren't sure they want the headaches of dealing with his reality TV family? Well, I guess Shadeur will likely get some of that money back as an inheritance...

Iowa DB transfers to the good guys on Easter!

We can only hope he's Jack Henderson, but it's unlikely. https://gophersguru.com/2025/04/01/unheralded-to-undeniable-jack-hendersons-relentless-pursuit/ https://x.com/BOMMARITOS/status/1904515413922238703

3 Potential Landing Spots for Notre Dame Quarterback Steve Angeli (2. Minnesota or Purdue)

Very few teams being able to stock their QB room is very good for college football parity. QB is the most important position and almost all the best ones are playing, not waiting their turn. It also means most teams are one starting QB injury away from possibly falling off a cliff. That's...

Minnesota quarterback Zach Pyron has entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer, @On3sports has learned.

Another example, Ryan Browne transfers from Purdue to NC, things get too tough for him so transfers right back to Purdue. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/44740859/ryan-browne-transferring-north-carolina-back-purdue We've all seen this many times now. How soon can they reduce...

Minnesota quarterback Zach Pyron has entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer, @On3sports has learned.

Zach Pyron played the current system perfectly. He took a shot at winning the starting job at a high visibility P2 school and when he saw it wasn’t going to happen went G5. He obviously wants to start. That’s the problem with the current two portal window system. Gophers did their best. Got...

Hold out!! Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava did not attend Tennessee spring practice today. He’s been in conversations with Tennessee about a new contract.

B1G has to be the biggest beneficiary of the portal and NIL, right? A lot of money and mostly poor recruiting footprints. We were already "paying" kids to come here from the southeast with scholarships. Now, we can pay them a heck of a lot more!

    Utah to B1G?

The NBA play in tournament is pretty fun. We could do that for schools that are marginal B1G schools each year. The winners can play in our league for the next year. Play in games: BYU - Utah Iowa - Iowa State Wisconsin - Nebraska - SDSU - NDSU BC - Syracuse Stanford - Cal etc.

Can they unretire his son's number after Deon leaves, most likely not on good terms, sort of like an executive order.:)

    Roman Voss

Won't real NIL opportunities usually be better near home? Like getting advertising gigs, etc., and building his brand? That would be especially true if he's actually good. He can be a hometown hero like Perich. Becoming a celebrity in a different state where you're starting from zero and the...

    High praise for Perich

Darius Taylor also made the list. https://www.pff.com/news/college-football-top-10-returning-running-backs-2025

Coastal Carolina just announced that all concessions will be free at home football games this fall. Fans can get four items per concession visit.

Based on the below, I imagine they think they'll make up for it with higher ticket sales and sales of beer and specialty foods. Interesting strategy. I do wonder how long the lines will be for the free stuff... "Specialty items, food from outside vendors, and alcoholic drinks will still be...

We have another HUGE commit, Gavin Meier, tackle

We have six hard commits while Wisconsin only has two for the class of 2026 and not all that highly rated at that. Iowa 7 and Nebraska 3 just for reference. It's early, but not looking good for WI.

    Way-too early potential 2025-26 lineup

I'm relatively new to this board and much more interested in MN basketball now mostly because of the new hire so am really just interested in what you more educated basketball fans think. Here is what I could find on the internet. How good would this lineup be? Way-too early potential 2025-26...

    Ben Johnson is a Disaster

Well said. He's 44 years old and $10 million fine and I doubt is reading this board. If he is reading this board, he's laughing at us amateurs while checks of a size none of us will ever see come in. Actually, he should just be thankful for all the interest in the program, even if it's...

Has NIL and the portal already ruined March Madness?

The ACC is in huge trouble because of their lower football revenue and they know it. It impacts both football and basketball. Isn't all the money the SEC has generated in football what has elevated them in basketball?

Has NIL and the portal already ruined March Madness?

Is the B1G handling this very differently than the SEC? Less transfers. Easy to identify three out of the four, but not so much the SEC schools. The B1G is more likely to shift to the SEC model in the future to better compete, right? Sad, but likely.
