    Kent Youngblood retires

If I didn't have a parrot and need the paper for the bottom of the bird cage, I wouldn't buy it anymore.

Won't Mara Braun also be back in '26-27? Of course, we'll need more than those three (Mara, Grace, & Tori) to keep an upward trajectory.

What's Whalen got to do with this? Gopher Mac didn't mention her. I guess some people just enjoy beating a dead horse.

Best of luck to her but not to Michigan.

Former Gophers guard Braeden Carrington is now a Badger.

Hopefully, he helps them as much as he helped us.

Maybe I was too harsh in my comments on Rose's ball handling. She was quick, she did get steals, and she did help the team break the press. However, shooting wise, she was a detriment to the team. Her stats? Her total FG% was .207 and her 3FG% was .118. Whenever she was on the floor, the...

I'm hoping for better than decent. Sanders was dribble happy and Rose, while she played good defense and handled the ball okay, was a zero threat offensively.

Ex-Vikings coach Mike Tice on Aireontae Ersery: 'This isn't my flavor'

Whether he's right or wrong I don't know. But he's certainly qualified to have an opinion. Or is this a Gopher cheerleader board?

It's true that there have been a lot of lean years, but on the flip side I was a teenager and already a fan when the Gophers went to two Rose Bowls and won a National Championship.

Soon to be 80, and still a Gopher fan. Perseverance thru adversity, that's my Gopher mantra.

Favorite Friday = Who is YOUR favorite Gophers women’s basketball player?

As for current players, it's Grace by a country mile. Her game against Belmont demonstrates why. Belmont obviously scouted her, knew she was one of our top scoring threats, and did a good job of shutting her down. How did she respond? She didn't force anything, took only seven shots, and...

    Minnesota 2025-2026

I may be wrong, but it doesn't appear that Woodson will qualify for a redshirt. Including the tournament, the Gophers played 36 games. Woodson played in 12 (33%), which exceeds the 30% limit. But maybe there are other exceptions I don't know about. I hope so.

In-coming Gophers signee Kai Shinholster reaffirms his commitment to Minnesota! He’s a 6-5 combo guard from Philly.

I admire your perseverance. I had season tickets for 39 years starting in 1972. Finally gave them up due to the priority seating fiasco, weak non-conference foes, and ticket prices. I never thought I'd feel this way, but I don't really miss watching the team in person. Every game is now on...

Same here. She was an athletic big who could have been a contributor down the line with some coaching and experience. Was sorry to see her go.
