historically though, Citrus was higher in the pecking order than outback. but you're right, these days, its sort of a rotation for teams that win 8-9 games sometimes 10 and have been to a certain bowl before.
the thing I’ve always hated about the bowl is that you can rearrange the order based on matchups rather than merit.
there’s no freaking way Michigan deserves to be ahead of Minnesota by any real metric and yet it will likely happen because the citrus thinks they’ll make more money. Sad.
Not that I like Wisconsin but I don’t think you’re being objective here. Plus I’ll never get over the PSU scandal so maybe I’m not gonna be objective either
Yea I don’t see a scenario that Michigan goes to the Citrus unless both Bucky and PSU get to the NY6, even if they do, Minnesota really should go to citrus
Not sure Michigan is the draw people think they are these days. Rather see what Minnesota could do vs. them. However, its unlikely any NFL caliber Alabama player plays given the recent history of them sitting out meaningless bowl games.
The last time Rose Bowl dipped down the rankings they took Illinois about 12 years ago and it didn't work out well. It think its going to be Penn State when all is said and done
It was bad weather across the country, wonder if that had anything to do with the spike in ratings, particularly in Minnesota and Wisconsin, nobody had any reason to be out
That would be nice, these bowl tie ins are like level 5 sudoku.
Rose- PSU
Citrus- Wisconsin
Outback- US
Gator- Michigan
Did I miss anyone? Indiana maybe to the gator and Michigan to the Holiday?
