I doubt he has committed to Providence as of today. Ben going to NY to see him could have been planned with Pierre coming off his visit to Providence, or is a last ditch effort by Ben to get him to reconsider before officially committing.

That would be a bummer. Has a bad feeling when he went through with the Providence visit. At this point, if Pierre goes to Providence, I have to assume they sit on that lead guard spot until spring and work on the transfer portal. Really hate kicking the can down the road again though. Tough...

Dunn would be fantastic for MN (or are you saying this for VA?). Feels like we have a really good chance if he’s not a take for Virginia. But considering they have him on a visit this weekend, I’m thinking we may be moving on to Byrd soon.

I believe what 247 lists on their page are official visits, so this is an official visit. He took an unofficial visit to MN earlier in the summer.

How are we defining top in state kids? Because it appears he has a good chance in year one to land three of the top 7-8 kids in the state this year. Including one that is probably going to end up ranked 2nd in the state.

And at the time, they were still full steam ahead on Tre. They chased him around to AAU events for a month and who knows if the MN coaches ever saw Rowan or made him a priority during that same open period. Not a surprise we are not in the top 6.

This is great news. I agree with others that the offer took a bit longer than I thought it would, but happy to hear he’s coming to campus in 9 days. A tough, slightly undersized 4 worked out great for MN a few years back!
