Great post. I agree 100% with your assessment of the defense. I would also say that we relied too much on forcing turnovers. While obviously a great trait for a defense, it can serve to gloss over chunk yardage and can be an unreliable tool. I would prefer a more stingy defense, if I had to...

    2024-25 Wild Season

Shit ton of shots by San Josie- to be expected with top 3 D out - but Fleury stops all but one in a magnificent effort. Rossi & Boldy score and the game is iced by a nice forced turnover by Chisholm and a heads up (literally) 2/3 ice shot right in the heart of the empty net by Zucc, with the...

What is an acceptable expectation for a Gopher Men’s Basketball Head Coach?

I would like it if you crawled into a deep hole and never re-emerged. Does that answer your question?

    2024-25 Wild Season

I wasn’t so fortunate. Brought my pond hockey friend to his first ever Wild game (not a wealthy man). Oof. Heard Hynes on the way home. He wasn’t too alarmed. I dunno. Gus has given up 10 goals in his last 5 periods. I think 4 or 5 of them tonight were over his glove side shoulder. We also had...

There is zero chance anyone would be stupid enough to spend a top 3 draft choice on someone hobbling around the sidelines 4 months after a meniscus injury. No chance.

@TRF Guy @Ogee Ogilthorpe Tenna-B was just talking about Faber and still had no further information. He wasn't even sure when it happened. He said on his last shift out, maybe he got his arm twisted, but definitely not sure. Also mentioned he got hit pretty hard his 2nd to the last shift...

@TRF Guy, I was playing pond hockey all night. I was able to catch the last 15 minutes of the game and watched the entire post game and didn’t catch it - what happened to Faber? And when the F is Kaprizov going to return? It was supposed to be day-to-day.

The NCAA is considering allowing five years of eligibility for players in all sports moving forward, per an NCAA official.

Only because we have a coach that can navigate the system better than most. But for sure. (And obviously talking about football, not basketball…😂😂😂.)

Nailed it. If the gloves are off and schools are not restricted by a draft or anything else ($$$), you can bet Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama!!!, Notre Dame!!! could compete for top athletes. Just pay "Patrick Mahomes" enough and why would he move to the NFL, where they have you in solitary...

The only possible thing they can do to save college sports is to reinstate the sit-out transfer rule. Probably never happen. But without it, college sports is a joke. So much for watching a kid/team develop. Bunch of money-hungry idiots ruining it all. Great job, guys.
