Gopher Basketball Portal Money - $1 Million

Us actual Gopher FB & BB fans would do what it takes to win big. Which would be sacrificing FB and 3 years of BB. Saving up the money. And then going in huge every 4th year and making a Final Four attempt. But our administration aren't fans. In fact, most of them are against FB and men's BB.

Time to think outside the box

What about a lawsuit? Alleging FRAUD. Improper use of the term 'student'. Improper use of school logos on non-students. Alleging that students shouldn't be paid and fought over. Arguing that no professional/paid minor-league teams generate money or are even on television.

Gopher basketball could probably use him.

Boosters & businesses shouldn't be paying college students either. That's what I meant. Nobody should be paying for college basketball players. Yeah...on the one hand, I want want a billionaire to buy us a team. Even though it's absurd and a total joke and sham, fraud.

Oregon transfer Brennan Rigsby commits to MN

Or if Oregon was 1 player away from having a very good team.

    Already excited for next year!!

    I hope Coyle is watching

We're already excited about the new guard we just signed.

    I hope Coyle is watching

Plus this whole 'NIL' thing originated from a California lawsuit. Supported by their Governor. But he did issue a terse statement about the Pac-12 dissolving.

Oregon transfer Brennan Rigsby commits to MN

Exactly. Our administration tells Coyle to spoon-feed us...and we love it.

So we swapped junior guards. Downgraded 9.5 points to 6.1. 7.5 assists to 1.1. Downgraded 3pt% and FT%. But at least Coyle did his job and pacified the fan-base.

    I hope Coyle is watching

Of course I agree that this is SLEAZE. But how will everything come crashing down though? The public watches anything that's put in front of them. And for every fan we lose, the winning teams gain a fan. So their overall money & ratings should be fine.

You're taking your trolling to an even worse new level of absurdity now LOL. Saying we have NIL when all of our best players (except 1...so far) are leaving...we can't even sign a guy like Morgan...and we can only sign Canadians. LOL.

Gopher Basketball Portal Money - $1 Million

Schools shouldn't be paying the students. Period. They're perpetrating a fraud. Saying these players are students is fraud. Because they know we watch our school...and we wouldn't watch a minor-league pro team. Games need rules. Games aren't like the rest of America where we want freedom...

Well the way things are now...if Asuma plays well his freshman year...he's gone the following year. Correct or incorrect?

Gopher Basketball Portal Money - $1 Million

Excellent excellent idea. $1M per year. But use none of it for 4 years. Sign all Canadian players or low-level DII guys. In Year 5...sign our starting lineup at $1M each.

What Gopher sport do you have the most pride in?

Being a Gopher Basketball fan is one of the most challenging things in world history. You literally have to be a glutton for punishment. Going up against all odds. It's like hoping a machine moves in one direction...when all the gears are set up to move in the opposite direction.

    Alright, now who?

I have an idea too. Let's hope we actually ARE forced to bring in singers, offensive linemen, and people off the street to fill the team. Let's really bottom out. Let's make it so bad that it makes national headlines. Let's go on a 3 year losing streak...winless...blown out by an average of...

    Alright, now who?

"and one thing's for sure, we will never improve" That's catchy. I miss the old days. When our players used to return & improve the next year.
