CBJ was an assistant under Pitino from '13 to '18 when those players were on the roster. Would like to know the substance of conversations between CBJ and Pitino about those players.
Agree, let Coyle do the job of hiring the next head coach. He still is responsible for the 2 failed basketball hires regardless of the speculation that he was forced to hire CBJ and Linday Whalen. Still question his ability on the baseball side of the athletic department. He let Pitino...
He (CBJ) was who we thought he was.
Do what Glen Taylor did when McHale fired Flip Saunders by making Coyle coach for the rest of the season. Although McHale wasn't fired until a few years later Coyle could be fired after the season in a new tradition of firing coaches for not winning before...
Coyle hired CBJ and the administration put pressure on Coyle to hire CBJ. Coyle's responsible for the hire. CBJ can't NOT be fired regardless of who's ultimately responsible. CBJ was paid millions to win and he's not winning with the team. Not happy about having to hire another coach but it...
Ha. Sounds like what I said is logical. My conclusion takes into account history of gopher coaches being fired. You don't state your opinion why you think my assessment is wrong. You just say it's wrong. Now that's a classic example of no logic...
Tubby Smith and the gophers were in the NCAA tourney 3 years ('09, '10, '13) and in 2013 won a game in the first round. Tubby was still fired that same year as his one NCAA win. CBJ would have to do more than win 1 game to save his job.
Would like to see Coyle at every men's BB game as well as the administrators who pressured Coyle to hire CBJ. Let them suffer like the season ticket holders who pay for the tickets and who attend the games. Maybe the administration would insist on hiring a successful coach and doing whatever...
When CBJ was hired almost everyone bailed. Why wouldn't it happen again. Hawkins bailed after saying he wasn't going anywhere and likewise there's no guarantee Asuma stays.
Whatever money is available now and in the future needs to go to NIL and a new coach. Winning is key to more fans and donations, not facilities and amenities.

MN's 17 fortune 500 companies are #'s 483 to #500 (the 17 smallest of the 500...and losing some each year.
1977 beat #18 UCLA and #1 Michigan. After beating Michigan, the Gophers were rated # 19 for one week before losing to unranked Indiana and falling out of top 25.
LOL..."jumps around a little", that's an understatement.
Maybe you and your cohorts should watch other than Gopher games to see how other coaches react to calls they disagree with. Actually, PJF acts surprisingly like a teenager when running onto the field, reacting to calls, during...
So, in your opinion, PJF's behavior on the sidelines is within what you think is the average behavior of the other coaches. If PJF is within what you think is the average behavior of a college FB coach, we'll have to disagree what's an average fan thinks is acceptable.
FYI, my original comment...
What does being new to college football have to do with the commenting on simulating brandishing a weapon penalty?
PJF is an adult, "earns" multi-million dollars and acts like a child jumping up-and-down on the sidelines. Same applies to former BB coach R. Pitino who also was overly...
So, if you were a coach of any athletic team, pewee's thru college, you'd jump up-and-down, yell at the referees, players and other coaches and your spouse, kids, parents, et all. would think "I'm good" with that display.
