The last two were more of joining the team on the field to celebrate than storming the field. As long as there aren't safety concerns, I don't see the issue with it. It's a fun experience for the fans and players and it gives anyone not interested in joining a head start on going home.
Brosmer getting absolutely no help - multiple drops, pressure in about a second on a few plays, no run game, and now a false start and a fumble.
He's not looking good but I don't think any young QB could thrive in this situation.
It seems surprising to me that he wouldn't go in the top 3 rounds, he seems better than Mafe both in terms of stats and the eye test. Is it because Mafe's smaller and faster and can play LB instead of DE?
Seems like we should be in line for Music City - we're the clear 4th other than PAC 12 and playoff teams. Of course we've gotten skipped over by teams worse than us or teams we beat head to head before.
We'll always play 3 non-conference games, of which at least 2 are usually relatively easy wins and often the third is too. There will always be a few conference teams that are rebuilding or really struggling that should be relatively easy wins too. Between those two that's about 4 relatively...
A- due to the issues with drops and inaccuracy but solid game overall. Wisconsin knew what was coming at them and couldn't stop it. The Gophers stopped pretty much everything other than the long pass which shouldn't have counted anyway.
C. The schedule this year was set up for a strong record and they didn't execute well enough. Ohio State and Oregon were longshots but all of the other games were very winnable - Iowa on road would have been tough but we should have absolutely won the Cal and Northwestern games and be sitting at...
Counting guys who didn't get drafted or make it out of training camp as "NFL players" is unreasonable.
Even if you count it as 9, Ohio State and Oregon both had more than that drafted last year and that didn't stop them from blowing us out.
Sounds like he's saying this is the best we should...
50% of the total athletics budget goes to football. 60% of the revenue comes from football, or about 75% if you exclude revenue not assigned to a particular sport.
If expenses were proportional to revenue, that would be an $15 to $37 million for football. That money would be huge for the...
Even if I was a billionaire, I don't think I'd give the Gophers a ton of money unless I had a lot of control over how they used it and had trust in the leaders.
The defensive performance last game was not primarily due to a lack of talent or NIL money. You could spend $5 million more on the...
Are the Vikings admitting they let JJ play with a concussion? I doubt he got a concussion off the field in less than 24 hours.
This feels like a way to see what Max can do and give JJ a break without officially benching him.
I don't understand how you can have this bad of a defense in year 9 without major injury issues. This defense might pass in the MAC or for a first year coach playing a bunch of freshmen but Fleck has had more than enough time to put together a competent defense.
