If you want great coverage of the pro sports teams, try The Athletic. Unfortunately, they provide minimal coverage of the gophers.
The strib was never a great paper but at least the sports section was ok. Now it's all crap.
On one night on their home on the second night of an OKC btb when they were already 24-2. The wolves don't have the talent and depth to run with those guys. Neither does anybody else.
It's almost as if Randle is competing against Ant instead of the other team. He appears to be fighting the pecking order. I think part of the reason they lost to Memphis (whose record is much better without Ja this year) is Randle decided to be The Man. He played a lot of one on three with a...
I'd love to have 26 year old Giannis. Giving up the personnel to make a deal work for 31 year old Giannis with his huge contract and his 60 games a year body would be a massive mistake.
They need a reasonably decent pg.
I almost turned it off heading into the fourth because I'd read this script before. Then I almost turned it off when the dubs made their run after the wolves went up by twelve with six minutes left because I'd read this script before. Stayed with it and it was a pleasure not to see this team...
Nice try. You are pretzeling like deuce. I didn't say or imply that Finch is the third best coach in the league. I said he was a fine coach, which he is. A coach who has taken a team with no recent draft help to two straight WCF's. He's also one of many coaches in the league who could be...
You used a ridiculous hypothetical and I pointed out the absurdity of the straw man argument.
Finch is managing a roster that has been mismanaged. The situation is becoming analogous to the Vikings. The wolves have almost nothing to show for every draft since Connelly took over. The top...
I have a pretty radical suspicion that Luka would help this team at pg.
Finch is not a perfect coach but he's pretty damn good. He manages personalities really well which is 75% of coaching in the NBA. He's got a wildly talented superstar who is immature and supremely overconfident. The kid...
They desperately need a pg. Please let it be anybody but CP. He's useless on the court and evidently very disruptive in the locker room. By reputation he's always been disruptive in the locker room. When he was a point god, he was more than worth it.
This is Ant's team and the pecking order...
The two tight games against NO are further proof that the wolves need a real point guard. The good teams are going to pressure the hell out of whoever is trying to initiate the offense and the wolves don't have good ball handlers. Most of the time Ant is going to initiate the offense and his...
BTW, we are so fucking lucky to watch Ant do his thing 90-100 times a year. We can pick nits here and there, but he's a generational talent who plays with joy for himself and his teammates. It's unlikely, but I hope he ends his career in a decade or so as a wolf.
This is exactly the kind of game we've seen them lose about a million times over the years. For that reason, I think it was a pretty good win. It's the sign of a mature, confident team that when the fourth quarter rolls around it knows it can and should put away losing teams.
Do you think NO...
