I asked a Wisconsin reporter six questions...

We need the typical Joe Rossi defense to make an appearance. Do that and it’s a W. If not, they go down in another nail biter. As much as this year has been frustrating keeping the axe and going to a bowl game would be nice.

    Halftime competition

Good luck! Don’t try to “kill it” on the punt. Think of it like golf, just hit it smooth. If you do that you will hit a good one. Every time you try to get all of it you shank it, and when you do connect you usually don’t even gain much yardage.

STrib: Chris Autman-Bell cherishes Gophers career, despite the hardships

Thanks for your dedication and hard work here CrAB! It was an honor to watch you perform and enjoyed your many big plays. Best of luck in your next chapter of life, but please before you go kick the sh!t out of Becky one last time!

    '22 Season vs '23 Season

It would be nice to actually seem like you had a chance against these better teams. Outside of Penn State in 19 they haven’t done that. In fact, it’s usually epic blowouts (OSU, MICHIGAN) with no sign of competitiveness. Grinning’ Glen got us a few of those to be wins (who can forget the FG...

    NIL and RS Strategy

That’s not a bad take. If a program like ours, which is a developmental by all accounts took the cream of the crop at th lower level that would be a formidable squad. Yes you might lose a few of our elites to the big programs but you certainly could do worse with this strategy.

Fleck: There's a new era of college football, and we've got to continue to find creative ways to gain depth, keep depth, maintain depth, retain depth

You might have just hit the nail on the head SeaBee! That’s our angle, centrally located and voted best airport in the USA for another year! Now if we could just come up with some dollars to go with that…

Post Game Thread: OSU Blows Out Minnesota

I agree, he's still pretty young but he's not a freshman in experience. He's been here since 2021, he's had plenty of time to improve, and he yet might...but it doesn't look encouraging.

An amazing collection of things I didn’t see coming

I wouldn't say we don't get highly rated prospects. We don't get enough of them. Darius Taylor had offers from Michigan and Notre Dame, Koi for this coming years class has tOSU, Michigan, USC, Florida State. Those guys definitely had offers from the big boys. Most of his other recruits have...

Former Gopher coach Jerry Kill becomes first NMSU coach to defeat a SEC opponent.

Pretty impressive for the Fightin' Jerry's, should have fired up the Aggievision today. On that note, let's see the Maroon and Gold rebound against the skunks!

What I'd like to see vs Ohio State

That’s not a bad plan, at least the beginning part. I think putting your best against their best, the “iron sharpens iron” approach is worth working on too in addition to letting the players get experience. This is one area if PJ would have let his back ups play more against a few of the teams...

Gopher legend and fan favorite Rickey Foggie named the first HC of the Minnesota Myth (AFL)

This could be fun to watch. More competition for your entertainment dollars!

Coach Knowles on the challenge that Minnesota presents: "They're the best 4th down conversion team in the country."

Wow, they’re shaking in their boots on this one! Hey say something nice about your blind date…”um she’s got a nice ring tone on her phone”. Yeesh, that’s pretty damn bad. 4th down, thank god he didn’t ask what he thinks they like. “Well, their defense is awful against good teams, hell even bad...

The headline in the Sunday newspaper will read?...

“Inept Gopher Offense and Defense Continue Their Woes Against Ohio State.”

Shama: Fans are often impatient but Gophers’ redshirt sophomore QB Athan Kaliakmanis deserves understanding.

Agreed. If you were a talented WR would you come here to this system as you see it? I think we all know the answer. I’d really be recruiting the height/speed under recruited type and hope you hit on some so they could create some mismatches. Daniel Jackson is good and I think Lemeke was good...

Fleck after Purdue loss, “It’s all on Me”.

This is a good take, but it also gets me thinking…if we win those games vs NW and Illinois are fans any less upset with what happened yesterday? Man they looked awful in that second half. Not encouraging at all. Maybe it’s the 5 win year and we will begin the rebound like PJs little graph he had?

Shama: Fans are often impatient but Gophers’ redshirt sophomore QB Athan Kaliakmanis deserves understanding.

I’m not convinced. You can usually see the growth, the “it” factor. Not sure he has that. Makes a lot of mistakes that he shouldn’t. Lots of potential though so I can understand the thought.

    Fleck prediction

Can’t get rid of him this year, I remember the past all too well. However, I do find it troubling that PJ is always losing coaches. Do these coaches move up? Are they lateral moves? I don’t know I guess. It just seems bizarre that Rossi who has given me some of the best Gopher defenses I have...

2023 MN High School Football season

I think this matchup or Centennial vs Edina and LS vs EP would have been best. Glad it isn’t EP vs Centennial and South vs Edina. They should both be pretty good games. Edina has been playing very well.

2023 MN High School Football season

As an alum it’s neat to see this. My brother still lives up there. Lots of new houses in Centerville, and Lino off of Lexington to fuel the growth. Class size is almost triple off when I was there in the 80s. That Fleet Farm and Walmart was where all the kids used to go run around in the woods...
