CFB is big before even radio. It was built on Little Brown Jugs, Rose Bowls, and Army-Navy games. It didn't need any help from TV. Now everything is done for what's best for TV....not for CFB
NICE offer list. Ivy football is a little bit better than people think it is, and to have multiple offers from the IL says something about him as an athlete and a student. The right coaches will know exactly what to do with him.
Anyone who was there at the time was well-aware that the record does not reflect the improvement that was clearly taking place. Just taking a flash look at his two-year record is laziness. He took a team that routinely was throttled in 1983 and put them in a bowl game in less than two years.
The only thing to focus on left is simply to get win #9, finish 9-4, and hoist a trophy.
Many wish it could have been different, but we got what we got.
Just get win #9 and finish 9-4, declare victory, and get ready for 2022.
I can remember when Colorado haired Chuck Fairbanks in the 70's with a boatload of out-of-whack largesse. Shocked the CFB world. How did that work out?
