Clemson, SMU, ASU are all about .500 in the Big Ten or SEC. Boise and Notre Dame would have at least three losses (just like Alabama and Ol Miss). There’s enough data out there to know these things. Why would the Big Ten and SEC want to continue this playoff system? Get real.

He’s looking at this all wrong. SMU needs the win against Clemson to make the playoff, and Clemson needs it too. This is a play-in game. Neither team has impressive enough wins to justify inclusion without a CCG win.

And this is the problem with having 12 teams when there are really only 2 major conferences. There is going to be a time where the legitimately 12th best team is 8-4. And if they are a brand, they’ll get in. If they aren’t a brand, they won’t.

Wisconsin has a lot of problems right now. It’s not going to get significantly better next year for them. The level to which their fans are already out of patience is stunning. It’s hard to find a sympathetic take out there at all.

I think a day is coming when the really good players are just too good to ever play at all. We’ll just have to imagine how much they dominate in our dreams.

That’s what makes it even more outrageous. It’s just baked into the equation at this point that they get more than everyone else and never pay their dues. We all just take it.

The Big Ten’s bowl games are a steaming pile of shit. It’s time to blow it up and re-do the whole thing. How did we add 6 teams over the last decade and get significantly worse bowl games than > decade ago. 🤣
