    SEC armor - hypothetical results

Have OSU friends who think Herbie bends so far backward to avoid sounding partial that they call him “Judas.” Haven’t asked the friends yet what they think now that Herbie’s kid is going to Michigan.

    Tally of Starters Opting Out

Small correction - while Brees did play four years at Purdue, he was the backup QB his freshman year and only had 19 completions for 232 yards in the entire season. Makes Brees's ranking of 4th all-time in Big Ten career passing yards even more impressive when he essentially did it in three...

Lawmaker aims to make flag-planting a felony after Ohio State-Michigan brawl

Is there a local exemption if OSU plants a flag on their own logo?

    2024 Bowl Projections Tracker

Thought I heard that Ray actually got a bit emotional after that 2000 OSU game

    2024 Bowl Projections Tracker

Felt bad that the 2000 MicronPC Bowl was Ray Christensen's last as a Gopher announcer. Would have been nice to send him off with a win.

    2024 Bowl Projections Tracker

Wasn't the field condition a big issue last time we were in the Pinstripe? May have several more players drop out of the game (Joyner, Jackson, etc.) from injury concerns.

    Moss leaving USC for portal

Would Moss really want to go to a school that supposedly is paying a freshman QB $12 million NIL?

Does Fleck get asked to interview for other coaching openings ?

Stoll had the unfortunate timing of coaching in 1970's Big Ten - the age of the "Big Two, Little 8 Conference." He had a few nice wins, and played a tough non-conference schedule, but from 1968 - 1980, either OSU or Mich won the title each year and they pretty much obliterated the other teams...

1st Team Big Ten Offense and Defense.

And after Iowa's offense during the Nebraska game, I am not sure who should be under more scrutiny - the Iowa OC or the people who voted

1st Team Big Ten Offense and Defense.

I think Darrell Thompson is the only one. Laurence Maroney was 2003 Big Ten Freshman of the year, but did not make the first team.

1st Team Big Ten Offense and Defense.

Was hoping that Daniel Jackson might get a first team nod - hopefully can get some attention in the 2nd and 3rd team selections

Does Max Brosmer have an NFL future after one year with Gophers?

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but wasn't one of Brosmer's main motivators for transferring to Minnesota was to go to medical school here? Has that plan been temporarily (or permanently) shelved while he plays out his NFL options? Personally, I would prefer a physician path (if still...

    Purdue Fires Ryan Walters

Unfortunately, I am old enough to remember the 1983 Minnesota Gopher team. They probably would have lost to this year's Purdue team by 20.

Does Max Brosmer have an NFL future after one year with Gophers?

Technically, the way this sentence is worded - would Tony Dungy count?

    The headline Sunday will read?...

Above the fold - in depth articles on how both the new Vikings longsnapper and kicker will be put to an ultimate test against that NFL behemoth Jacksonville. Below the fold - "Gophers Handle Rutgers Easily" - "Fleck to become a new Vikings Assistant?"

    Brosmer is not a stud.

IMO - "great deep throwers" are pretty rare, especially in college. Been following the Gophers since the 1960's and I am hard-pressed to recall any QB who could be described as such. Weber or Hohensee might come the closest.
