I've nothing against the non revenue sports but football and Men's basketball are already subsidizing them. If you have successful football and Men's basketball programs it will benefit the entire department.

Seth Davis: Ben Johnson has done an incredible job with this team. One of the elite coaches in one of the toughest jobs in America.

Startribune article today suggesting Coyle is going to fund mens basketball higher to be in the top third of the conference. Very encouraging if it turns put to be true.

So there's an article by Scroggins today stating Coyle wants to build the mens program and and be in the top third of the conference in revenue sharing percentage. The article states 5-6 million between revenue sharing and NIL. If this is true I would think this job should be fairly attractive...

It's going to be interesting to see how Coyle handles this program when the season is finished. Of course the big question is the coach but I also want to see their percentages for revenue sharing. A few schools have come out and said what they are going to do, I think Texas Tech for one. Will...

Gophers recruit Parker Jefferson has big MLK day with his first career triple-double

I think the lack of big time offers is partly from the changing recruiting tactics in the transfer portal era.

STrib: An uncertain future, yet hope for Gophers coach Ben Johnson, who foresees a program with more resources

You're right. I went back and looked at the nil-ncaa.com site and it does say schools can share any percentage up to the 20.5 mil cap. It also states that the 22% benchmark is what schools will likely distribute as it would be fiscally reckless to share considerably higher percentage. For...

All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

Now that's a fun memory. I can still remember the color guy, I think it was Al Maguire, saying Kolander is playing like an all American.

I can't say I'm all that excited about next year's recruits but yeah that big guy is intriguing.

    Do we have an offense?

Ben deserves the criticism he gets for his record and the direction of the program but as far as the offense I think it's similar to what most programs run nowadays. Most coaches have their teams running multiple ball screens and pick & rolls. In my opinion the problem with the Gophers isn't so...
