The ACC has lost several bigtime great coaches in the last few years and seems to be in a transition period. Coack K, Old Roy, Boeheim, Bennett, Hamilton, and I'm probably forgetting someone, but that's a ton of wins for that group
Yeah I would think Ben would get hired as an assistant in the near future. By all accounts he was a decent recruiter and assistant coach, just not ready for the lead job.
Right. In my opinion the coaching matters more. There's always going to be programs with more money and if you're not one of those programs you need an experienced coach with a proven system that can even things out. Ben was not.

I used to enjoy watching the Gophs in the NIT, after the disappointment of being on the wrong side of the bubble wore off. Obviously it wasn't the NCAA but the times they did well in the NIT it was fun. Now these other tournaments are pretty meaningless and I'm guessing more and more power 4...
