***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT wisconsin IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Come on. He’s a 3 level scoring, 6’10 skilled big. Can shoot, handle, and pass. Hard to blame him for this shit show. It shouldn’t be hard to build around a player like him and we probably won’t see a player as good as him in years, very easily one of the best players in the conference

I’m wondering the same thing brother. That’s the whole point. That’s the problem with Minnesota basketball. Fire Ben and revamp the roster. I feel for Dawson and Mike Mitchell

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT wisconsin IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

There’s tons of reasons to rip Ben, but no coach on the planet would consider playing Fox at the 3 man. He doesn’t have the foot speed and is a 0 offensively

Pull Groves redshirt. Asuma, Mitchell, Betts, Grove and Garcia. Only players worth watching on this team. Youth and older guys who have earned their stripes couldn’t care less about any of the other guys

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT wisconsin IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Yeah man I watch almost every game. Fox gets burned every time he plays a decent post cause he’s not big enough. And he’s not quick enough to guard 3s on the perimeter. And if Fox is your 3 that’s even less spacing offensively man. He’s basically Rudy Gobert offensively, he’s got no skill. I...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT wisconsin IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Guarding the other teams 3? Goodness gracious. I’m all for blaming Ben, but that is worse than any decision he’s ever made. He can’t play the 4 cause he has 0 skill offensively and you don’t want Garcia banging/racking up fouls guarding other teams 5s. Fox is a small ball 5

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT wisconsin IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I don’t disagree. Patterson would be coming off the bench if I was the coach, with Asuma starting. I am just curious where the Fox criticism is. He wouldn’t play anything but mop up duty either. He’s not a big ten caliber center. Crowl is so much better, it’s not close

Now do Fox. Crowl is eating his lunch. It’s not even close between the 2

We have the least athletic starting PG in the conference. We have the worst starting C in the conference

    Dawson Garcia

I like you man but he’s out a while and that’s just not good. Idk why we brush things off so quickly sometimes. We need to build chemistry

    Dawson Garcia

Does anybody here know anything about Dawson Garcia being injured? He was seen in a walking boot. Hopefully it’s just precautionary

Is This Ben's Best Ever July Roster?

Looks pretty accurate. My worry was that we don’t have a true 2nd option, but with the Cochran addition we seem to have a nice collection of guys who might not be good enough to be a #2, but are overqualified 3rd and 4th options and a much deeper bench than in previous years.

Is This Ben's Best Ever July Roster?

Asuma is rated about the same as Christie was coming out of high school. Everyone knew Christie would be a good player eventually but nobody was on here last July talking about him before an NBA draft pick after 1 year. I hear you on Payne and JOJ, they had high expectations going into last...

Is This Ben's Best Ever July Roster?

This is hindsight bias, unless of course in July of last year you were expecting Hawkins to lead the country in assists and for Christie to be a 1 & done type player. On paper this years team is better right now than that team was at this point last year, which is the spirit of the question...

Is This Ben's Best Ever July Roster?

Top to bottom it is. First 3 years he probably had more high end talent (Willis & Battle, Battle & Garcia, Garcia & Christie) but less of a bench overall. He didn’t light any scholarships on fire this year though like he has in previous years, hopefully someone can emerge as a legitimate #2...

Toledo’s Tyler Cochran commits to Minnesota.

This addition of Cochran gives us another legitimate closing option at the end of close games. Tough to close games that come down to the last few possessions with multiple 55%> FTs shooters on the floor (Femi & F. Mitchell, Fox, or Edmonds)

Toledo’s Tyler Cochran commits to Minnesota.

Femi is a physical guard/wing too. Not that that it's a good thing cause he was a 50% FT shooter last year but he got to the line 137 times as well. Ben seems to have put a big emphasis on more guys who can create rim pressure this offseason.

Toledo’s Tyler Cochran commits to Minnesota.

We really bullied Ben into using the last scholly, well done fellas. No but in all seriousness this looks like a really nice pickup this late in the offseason. Wish he was a little bit taller but I can’t complain. 14 & 6 and was MAC defensive player of the year last season. He’ll instantly be...

    Tyler Cochran?

Not the big wing we need but definitely would be a welcomed addition rather than not using the scholly @Sane24

Ezra: An Insane Number of Schools Tried to Lure Mike Mitchell Jr. Out of Dinkytown with Big NIL Offers

My point is that it’s not surprising a 40% 3 point shooter who averaged 10/3/3 in the B1G conference would get looks elsewhere. 40% from 3 on 5 attempts per game qualifies as a high level shooter in the NBA let alone college basketball. And other programs might appreciate that more than some...
