This was always the scenario that was the most problematic for me. Win 7-9 games in conference and look improved in February. The narrative becomes "look how this team has improved". "If only Hawkins and Payne had come back, this would have been a team competing for a B1G championship."...

I agree. Now that cheating isn't really a thing anymore, it sort of legitimizes his basketball coaching acumen. He's turned around the St. John's program is short order.

You are correct here and he's a better coach than what I'm about to say.....but, it is amazing how many times the camera catches him with arms crossed looking upward at the scoreboard. He's a compulsive scoreboard watcher. I've found drinking at every occurrence to be a great drinking game.

Normally I would agree with you, but I'm not sure you want to try to run with Iowa. Pace has been good so far for the Gophers.
