It's a huge conglomeration of things. Goaltending, playing hard, high end talent, goaltending, goaltending... All held together and maximized by coaching. Our issue starts at the top with coaching. No mix is going to work under him. Carle is the best coach, has the best defenseman in the country...

If Ifs and Buts were candy and nuts Here's what I'm seeing. BC has choked just as much as the Gophers. Their coach looks like a deer in the headlights sometimes in the big games. Luckily they will get Hagens back though. BU is passing them and has better coaching. But both have been overtaken...

LMAO, players getting recruited care about conference. The superstars that just need a step before NHL go Big Ten. The players with grit that want to learn to play an NHL game (whether or not they're actually going to make it) go NCHC and work their asses off.

Champs know how to win when it counts. DU players have the fire Gopher teams never do. That could have been a championship game easily. BC blew it though. But watch how they reload and watch how the Gophers are mediocre next year. That's the difference between the two 5 title programs.

If WMU or DU win it all, it's time to start acknowledging the NCHC is the best hockey conference of all time.

Elite goaltending can make anything possible

Even if he does stay, Gophers lack a true PP QB at the back. He ain't it. So even if he stays, try to find one.

Kevin Reidler is the obvious goalie pickup cuz he's got three years left and motzko doesn't know how to recruit goalies on his own

Bob Chokezko knows he's dead in the water now. He'll be a lame duck coach and out next spring if he doesn't step down now and do what's best for the program to let the rebuild start.
