Completely agree. I do think Nebraska and/or Illinois might be included in some of the other rankings that come out. I think the B1G is deep this year, but besides Northwestern, is lacking truly excellent teams.

Minnesota looks like it will have a gentle opening weekend with competition against Butler, Western Kentucky, Marshall, Portland State, and Colgate. Hopefully, they can go 5-0 and ease into the season with all of the new faces instead of the gauntlet they faced last year.

Per LSU's schedule, Minnesota will be playing in the Judi Garman Classic Mar 3-5. Unclear who their opponents will be (other than LSU), but this is generally a tournament with good competition.

Does anyone know what the schedule will look like for 2023? It doesn't look like Minnesota will be playing in any of the premier pre-conference tournaments. The only thing I've seen announced for them is the weekend of the B1G-ACC Challenge.

That's a pretty weak slate of games. Maybe they're trying to ease into the season this year with their new freshman pitcher and a previously injured Pease? It's definitely not gonna help RPI come NCAA tournament selection time.
