***OFFICIAL #17 MICHIGAN STATE AT #21 MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD***

Gotcha. Here's to MSU getting shuffled to the bottom of the deck.

Thats some desperate logic. The simpler explanation is that one team has more impact players and is just significantly better than the other.

Both Gach is a mess right now. Mashburn, Gach, and Kalscheur cannot make shot.

I wonder if Pitino is counting passes tonight. Maybe not.

Why so many garbage 3-pt shots? This game is for the taking; play smarter for crying out loud

Shooter: Darrell Thompson said Race Thompson's recruiting visit to Minnesota was “kind of lukewarm.”

He's been solid this year for Indiana but that team chronically disappoints.

Florida Gators star Keyontae Johnson collapses on court, in critical but stable condition

Don't see how he could have been in heart failure as the echo he had would have caught ejection fraction anomalies. Sounds like Covid myocarditis that has not fully resolved. Lets hope this is an isolated incident.

Florida Gators star Keyontae Johnson collapses on court, in critical but stable condition

Heart inflammation can take months to subside and the high-impact exercise probably did not help. Without an MRI after his Covid diagnosis its likely unknowable.

Collins needs a good season and sounds like he is going to get one.

Florida Gators star Keyontae Johnson collapses on court, in critical but stable condition

Keyontae must be in God's good graces and I hope that continues to be the case. Great young man who caught a tough break. Perhaps UF did not do a very good job in clearing their players for resumption of athletic activity.

***OFFICIAL ST. LOUIS AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I think he is still adjusting to the major increase in athleticism and quality of play that comes with the transfer to a B1G school. He is plenty athletic and quick enough for a seven footer and can score with either hand when he's not rushing around the hoop. He's also a shot eraser but...

***OFFICIAL ST. LOUIS AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Robbins had his man pinned more than once with an easy passing lane available to Carr. Not interested. When he does pass its often tardy and off the mark. Gabe has bruised shins from Carrs passes.

    Omersa - out for season

Gophers FG% was solid. The stupid turnovers and return to selfish play were what held them back in the second half. Agreed their defense was good with the exception of blocking out on defensive glass and some lapses on backdoor cuts (Tre Williams a repeat offender).

    Omersa - out for season

Yes, he was slipping down the depth chart but still an important guy to have in the locker room and on the practice floor. Hard to find minutes with Johnson, Curry, Robbins, and the emergence of Ihnen, who has incredible hands and a lot of upside.

    Omersa - out for season

Sorry to see Jarvis leave and hope he is able to come back next year. If not, I wish him the best on his next journey. Great team guy full of positive energy who will be missed.

What Coach Could Automatically Make Minnesota B-Ball Elite?

What a naive thread. No coach will automatically make Minnesota basketball "elite". There is probably a coach out there--somewhere--that has what it takes to build a consistent winner at Minnesota, but it would take time--more time than Beilein or Dutcher have remaining in their respective...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT ILLINOIS BIG TEN OPENER IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Pitino just let the dumpster burn tonight. Gophers were just wildly overmatched. They will need to dramatically change their approach on offense--and it starts with getting your PG to prioritize doing PG things--to stay out of the cellar in the B1G.

    Robbie Hummel's coloration

Seems a little off. Kind of a pasty yellow. Hope he's ok.
