***OFFICIAL CHICAGO STATE AT MINNESOTA WINTER STORM 2022 IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Oh my goodness, are you all aware of the disadvantages Chicago State has compared to a Big Ten school? No funding, independent, constant roster turnover, on and on. This is shocking.

***OFFICIAL ARKANSAS PINE BLUFF AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I just find it a bit concerning that they HAD to go to a zone in this one to win it. Anyone else?

    Ben Johnson is a Disaster

That was his decision to bring so many transfers last year with only one year of eligibility. Yes Fox has been hurt, but that was a big mistake.

Jerry Kill vs Bowling Green in Detroit

Truly an amazing coaching job by Coach Kill to qualify for a bowl. An absolute miracle.

    Mertz enters the portal

He seems like a great young man. However, he just couldn't get it done at tough times and/or against top opponents. This will probably make Wisconsin better in the long run as I expect they will attract one of the better QB's available.

Ben Johnson needs to figure out how Dawson Garcia and Jamison Battle will play together | Gopherhole

Biggest issue with Battle and Garcia in the line up is on the defensive end. Garcia does not seem to be very interested in really guarding people and Battle struggles against smaller quicker players.

Is Fleck’s agent actively looking for other coaching jobs?

Whether anyone likes it or not, it is probably the right time for him to move on IF he wants to be at a big time school in the future. He's 42, been at MN for six years, and has probably maxed out what he can do here. The issue he has in the immediate future is the schedule in 2023. Michigan...

St. Olaf Exhibition - The Good, The "Okay," the Ugly (with a silver lining)

Whoaaa, settle down. There is absolutely nothing wrong with giving St. Olaf some credit for how they performed. They are a D3 school that walked into a Big Ten arena and played really well. I think everybody knew the circumstances with players not playing. And don't tell me nobody cared. I was...

    Jack Robinson commits to Wisconsin

Maybe that has been part of the problem. Find good players and build your program to fit their talents.

St. Olaf Exhibition - The Good, The "Okay," the Ugly (with a silver lining)

St. Olaf, quite frankly, was the better team for much of the game. They executed, hit shots, and were unfazed. Koz was very kind. Down 8 with plenty of time, he let some guys get in down the bench. Good for him for giving guys the opportunity to get on the floor. But they could have easily made...

    Jack Robinson commits to Wisconsin

Well okay. But Minnesota is getting MN HS kids like Lynch and Jacobson either. The players that WI are getting are helping them win Big Ten titles, NCAA Tournaments, etc.. Jordan Taylor was pretty darn good. Kam Taylor, Davison, Leuer , and Reuvers all scored over a 1000 points. They all...

"Purdue and Illinois are teams that Minnesota should be beating in year six of the P.J. Fleck era." | Gopherhole

Which is why I am really surprised he is bringing in so many in state guys.

"Purdue and Illinois are teams that Minnesota should be beating in year six of the P.J. Fleck era." | Gopherhole

Everyone forgets that team faced an incredible run of opponent's back up QB's that season. Incredible run of injured starting QB's. The 19 team was certainly a good team but it really helped to have that happen week after week.

"Purdue and Illinois are teams that Minnesota should be beating in year six of the P.J. Fleck era." | Gopherhole

I think it is very arrogant to say that. Illinois and Purdue have been beating Minnesota for years and are always capable of beating them.
