Thank God that mess is now over with. I don't see how they can keep McDevitt as the pitching coach, pitching staff was terrible. I know there were injuries, but
Seems like the Gophers in the 80's and 90's occasionally got a stud from Michigan. Burton, Tucker, Lenard were all from Michigan, probably others that I can't think of. Not sure who was the connection was.
I agree, the truth is a mixture. I don't know if there was any evidence or not, but I find it very hard to believe that someone in Roy's standing at UNC, that he didn't know what was going on. Just like Clem knew what was going on at Minnesota.
Al had an up and down Gopher career, but I was always impressed with him. I was around the team at a couple of out of town holiday tournaments during his time at the U. He always went out of his way to talk to the fans and thanking them for traveling to watch the Gophers.
Sounds like an early March start with the first few weekends being played down south, maybe Texas. Also sounds like they will be playing 4 game series on the weekends.
I only make it back for 1 game a year, so I miss the whole experience. The meal before at Stub's, walking into the Barn, remembering all of the games I went to in the 70's and 80's. Love it when it gets LOUD.
