No matter how good our defense is, if the other team has a potent offense, if we keep taking our foot off the peddle, they will chip away and eventually pass us up. I really don't think we will be able to keep up with Illinois if we don't change our coaching philosophy.

I get that he isn't a great QB. I don't expect him to make every throw. What I do wish for is to be a little smarter in play calling. You get a 15 yard pass play and first down... the very next two plays you call RUTM and third and long. Killed your drive. That was what we did all third quarter...
