Sounds a little like Siyani Chambers a few years. MN missed badly on him. His leadership and quickness elevated his teammates play.

All Things Gophers Basketball Class of 2022 Recruiting Thread

Reading this morning a piece on South St Paul and how they have continued on through a coaching change thanks to the play of 6’2” PG Alonzo Dodd. I have read about him on and off for the past few years. He seems like a good candidate to help us at the point, if nothing else as a back up for a...

Huge need for PGs for 2022-23. Will need at least one or two transfers. Thiam is not one to run the team. Can Carrington? Are there any unsigned high school PGs Ben is recruiting?

Rutgers a team the Gophers should easily beat??? They are 5-2 in B1G with a win over Purdue. They are pretty erratic, but a solid team this year.

    OLA JOSEPH

He has a B1G body. He just looked a step behind the others in game speed yesterday. He will be a project for Ben.

Strack: Treyton Thompson Makes Case For Larger Role; Ben Johnson Unsure

In the age of the portal, you have to give your guys incentive to return. Play zone for a few minutes each half as a change of pace if that how TT can get on the court. Ben loses Curry, Daniels, Stephens, Sutherlin, and Willis after this season. That is a lot of experience and minutes to replace.

    OLA JOSEPH

Limited playing time when I watched. Looks strong and very raw.

Ihenen and Fox are not posts. Payne will help inside. They have to develop Thompson for next year when they become a much younger team.

They learn nothing by continuing the status quo. Would be nice to see the guys who are part of the future play more, especially in the age of the transfer portal.

Would like to see Ben experiment with a bigger front line when our perimeter game is struggling and we are collapsing so hard defensively and giving up 3s.
