    Beat Iowa. Beat Wisconsin.

Iowa isn't good. Minnesota can easily win that game. Wisconsin on the other hand has a good offense. Gophers will have their work cut out for them to retain the axe.

Take me back to the Air Wacker days Gopher fans

The Gophers were often behind during the Wacker era. No doubt that had a positive impact on the passing numbers.

Shooter: Gophers football program still hasn’t figured out Minnesota’s colors are maroon and gold, not the black uniforms the team wore against EMU

I don't really think they've been wondering around in the wilderness. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree there. They've had some good teams. 4th best winning percentage in the B1G over the last 4 years. PJ has done a great job there. 1999, 2003, 2005, 2016 were solid to good teams as...

Shooter: Gophers football program still hasn’t figured out Minnesota’s colors are maroon and gold, not the black uniforms the team wore against EMU

Programs that are trying to sell a brand need to change up their uniforms a lot. Only 1 program that is really top notch does it. That's Oregon. And that's their brand. Different uniforms all the time. Just looking at the current top 25 besides Oregon and Oregon State pretty much every other...

Really need Penn State to beat Iowa this week

Iowa's TE1, RB1, & RB2 are all out. QB1 can't move well. They are in serious trouble moving forward. Every game except NW will be a dogfight for them.

After 3 Weeks the West is Still Wide Open

Wow this is pretty much the exact opposite of what everyone in this thread is saying.

After 3 Weeks the West is Still Wide Open

I will say that the West is so bad that the only team I think has no chance is NW. All of these teams besides Minnesota & Nebraska have to still play each other. One of the mutts has to win each game. You never know who will be able to start stacking some wins.

After 3 Weeks the West is Still Wide Open

I think it's going to be Wisconsin or Minnesota. Gophers are more physical and have a best D in the division. Wisconsin has the best O. Gophers get them at home. Which unit can make the most strides the rest of the way? Gopher's O or Badgers D? Iowa's top 3 offensive players are hurt. QB is...

Minnesota 34 NW 7 This game will never be in doubt.

Postgame Thread: Gophers Lose to North Carolina

Tough loss today. Lots of questions on offense only scoring 13 points against a suspect defense. However the B1G West is worse than it usually is which is saying something. They'll take it on the chin vs Michigan & Ohio State but everybody else is pretty meh at best.

Media Prediction Thread: Minnesota at North Carolina

If the team needs to read media predictions to get motivated for a football game the Gophers are in serious trouble.

    Noah Shannon officially done

He bet on an Iowa women's NCAA tournament game last March. The crazy part is how all of the Iowa/Iowa State betting investigation started. A mother of an Iowa baseball player noticed bets being placed on her phone last spring that she wasn't making. She contacted the police thinking her phone...

Thoughts on West and Conference as a whole after 2 weeks

Yards per play offense and national rank: Wisconsin: 6.0 (32) Minnesota: 4.6 (97) Iowa: 4.3 (106) Wisconsin's offense has definitely looked the best moving the ball. Their passing game is way ahead of the other two. But they're also turning the ball over way too much. Yard per play Defense...

    Useless Stuff You Should Know

On average Mercury is the closest planet to Earth. Mercury is also the closest planet on average to every other planet in the solar system.

I asked an Eastern Michigan reporter six questions.

30 points against Minnesota is a bold prediction. B1G West programs will struggle to do that.

Week 1 Big Ten Power Rankings Thread

I think they'll be able to throw on some teams. Minnesota makes it tougher to move the ball than other teams do.

What is the State of the Big Ten After Week One?

I'm not sold on their pass rush or their ability to stop the run. The problem is does anyone of the contenders have a good enough run game or offense in general to take advantage of that? Illinois' OL could give them trouble. Do they have the skill guys? Iowa would struggle to run on an FCS...
