Post Game Thread: Gophers Are Mayo Bowl Champs!!!! Finish 8-5!!!

I reserve the right to be critical of Fleck😉, but I think that he's been the best coach of my Gopher fandom (1972-the present day). It's also nice that Elijah Spencer was the MVP. I would guess that he had a contingent of family and friends at the game being from Irmo, SC, which is about 100...

Yes, someone will have to go 4-0 (3-0 with a bye) to win the championship. Agree. Because how a team plays in a specific game, varies greatly from game to game, and week to week, it is tough to accurately base seeds on what happened during the regular season. If a team "plays like a complete...

    Who Wins the Whole Enchilada?

I've been thinking about this recently. As I understand it the English Premier League gives points for wins and ties. Then at the end of the season the team with the most points wins the championship. That kind of makes sense - over the length of the season they demonstrated that they were the...

Current get-in prices for the quarterfinals on @StubHub. Rose: $170 Fiesta: $40 Sugar: $33 Peach: $16

Kinda like some hotel rooms, the room is cheap, but don't forget the resort fees, parking and taxes.

Took my daughter to a In-N-Out Burger yesterday for lunch here in Vegas. Several tables of Boise fans, who I assume were on their way to Phoenix.

How would you rank the final eight?

I heard some radio talking head make this same argument this week. There may be some truth to that, but over the next three games they would be better off with him.

    USC exodus

I hear you. I work at UNLV and we have started to "spill across the street." But there is not a lot of space and the neighborhood is home to some interesting characters. Another issue is that as soon as anyone hears that a university is interested in a piece of property, the price immediately...

    USC exodus

I've thought about this and am responding to myself, kind of like the county agent in Green Acres. Anyway, it has occurred to me that USC's campus is similar to the University of South Carolina's (my alma mater). They are both highly urban, have very little space to expand to, and have pretty...

I enjoy Jah Yoyner’s football card

"I enjoy Jah Yoyner’s football card" Is this card intended to appeal to his Norwegian fans? (I admit, I'm as guilty of anyone as far as typos go.)

Just saw a bit of Tennessee walking off the field to their locker room with the Buckeyes baiting/harassing them the whole way (I did not see any of the events leading up to that odd/strange scene). I can say that I think that Ohio State's Sawyer needs to shut up and just play football.

    WR Javon Tracy Commits

This has probably been discussed, but has anyone seen an estimate or study which shows how much the portal has increased a head coach's workload? Seems like there is never a work break for them, not even a brief one.

    Indifferent to Indiana, but.....

Boise State's coach might be an OK guy, but I wish that he would stop talking about Jesus. IMHO, as far as religion goes, "to each his/her own," but I doubt that Jesus is overly concerned about a football game.

    USC exodus

Walked through the campus when I was in LA for the UCLA game. The campus had a lot more concrete than I expected. I'd give it a C+, B-, a mild disappointment.

    Heisman Trophy

I was at the Boise St - Utah State game. IMHO Jeanty's first quarter 80 yard run was just too easy. Jeanty is a great player, but that Utah St defense was pathetic that night. My guess is that voters took his level of competition into account.

Mostly agree. But the guy however could not hold a lead. Several avoidable (IMHO) cases of grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory. Brutal...
