Doogie: I have every reason to believe Richard Pitino WILL be back as Gophers coach, there are just no signs

Can you expound on why your group wants Grant? Curious to hear your thoughts.

    Isiah Ihnen

Early in the year an injury played a major factor. Later in the year, bad coaching judgement played the largest factor. He absolutely should have gotten a good chunk of Demir’s minutes.

Fox 9: Daniel Oturu's message to Minnesota prep stars: 'Come to the U'

Yep. It’s a concept you are unfamiliar with called home-state pride. Daniel has it in spades. I wish more kids did.

This x100. Coach K is not such a great coach. Great recruiter, yes. Coach, no

No reason not to start the Freshmen the rest of the way!

??? With our awful shooting percentages most games, we are not doing fine offensively. Poor shooting (free throw and field goal) alone has cost us a number of games. We could also use more rebounding, which Ihnen has shown the ability to do fairly well in his limited minutes. He had 10...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT wisconsin IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Part of the problem is not recruiting elite shooters. We have sacrificed shooting ability for athleticism.

***OFFICIAL MARYLAND AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Why do I keep caring so much only to see us piss away games like this? If I was even marginally normal, I would have stopped watching this team long ago. What a huge, huge bummer. If feel bad for those kids-they played their hearts out and choked again.

And Gabe should not be on the floor right now. Turnovers and air balls.

This. It looks to me like he should get a few more minutes.

Ihnen injured just when he was getting minutes. Bummer. I was enjoying watching him.

    What I see...

Disagree. We have been getting LOTS of open threes. And “mildly contested” threes are open threes. Bad shooting has been our #1, # 2, and #3 worst problem.

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

It’s sad, but he has been saying that all year. Can you shoot really bad for an entire season and still be a really good shooter?

Gophers 17% from three and 33% from the line. Wow. Golden Klankers!

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I’ve never seen one guy miss three threes on ONE POSSESSION. Gabe just did it. Ihnen should get some of Gabe’s minutes at the wing and most of Demir’s minutes at the Four.

Pitino promoted this as a better shooting team, but they rank 245th nationally in three-point accuracy

Let’s go with a shooter’s lineup tonight! No more clanking allowed! C: Hurt PF: Ihnen SF: Gabe SG: Rudrud PG: Carr Drive and dish for threes! Get to the line and make free throws! From what I’ve seen in warmups, Brady might be our best shooter. Can the Conroy kid shoot? Put him...

    Isaiah Washington yesterday

His handles were so good, he didn’t need quickness to get anywhere on the court. Best ball-handler I’ve seen wearing Gophers colors. Also a very good passer. His lack of athleticism hindered his ability to finish, along with a just plain poor touch around the rim. I can’t remember seeing...

    I've Seen Enough

I like those classes for the most part but still stick by my post, and feel like we have failed to bring in really good (not just average) shooters. We are not a good shooting team and that is what we are built to do this year. In defense of coach Pitino, I’m sure he thought Gabe, Willis...
