    No OL transfers troubles me.

The lack of panic offers to O-line transfers encourages me, actually.

    QB Evers to Wisconsin

While I still have hope that Fickell will dash to OSU in two years, with Wisconsin having burned the bridge with Leonhard and the Alvarez era, we can’t bank on Wisconsin and Iowa getting worse to beat them. The U has to keep investing so we can match them.

    Wisconsin targeting Luke Fickell

Fickell is a really good coach, but seems risky to burn bridges w someone like Leonhard for a guy who’d likely leave for OSU at the first opportunity.

Wisconsin made a bold move, do we have the nerve to do the same?

Beyond the fact that it is way too soon to seriously discuss firing Fleck, Wisconsin also had an up-and-coming young coach who turned down professional coaching offers to stay at his alma mater to be their replacement. Do we have that?

If this is the offense we’re gonna run play Kramer.

Outcoached so bad. They exploit weaknesses and attack them while Fleck expects Ferentz to play as conservative as him.

***OFFICIAL NORTHWESTERN AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I get that we don’t need to do anything more than run Mo to win this game (although that won’t be true the next two weeks) but I wish we did more than run Mo. Let Athan work out the kinks.

I know it’s supposed to be the RPO, but I’m shocked that we don’t have better play action considering how good our run game is.

    Tanner and Athan Article

In an offense with so few weapons outside of Mo, we need Athan’s athleticism. His ability to keep the ball and run helps our zone read game, and the ability to move the pocket with him helps diversify an incredibly vanilla offense and play calling. He also has a stronger arm and I’ve been...

Post Game Thread: Gophers lose to Illinois

    - WR talent is horrendous. Biggest disappointment considering Fleck’s history - Quinn Carroll is really bad - Oliver is over aggressive - Offensive scheme doesn’t allow for easy completions - Defense is pretty good, but zero pass rush - Walley hasn’t been very good this year - Nubin and Mo...

Post Game Thread - Gophers Crush Aggies

NMSU had two deep safeties the whole game. I think ol’ Jer was content to have us run for 8 YPC to keep the score down. Dylan looked disinterested at times which is my only concern beyond Axel’s injury. Easiest win we’ve had in a decade or more.

    PJ

It can definitely be annoying, especially when the offense is struggling, but the only time I truly have a problem with it is that we tend to stay in it way too long. Watching us snap the ball on our own 15 with one second on the play clock to run inside zone with less than six minutes to play...

Houston Baptist DT transfer Kyler Baugh receives Gophers offer

Meh. He just put his name in the portal Monday, so it’s not like he’s been sitting there for ages before we decided to offer. Plus Gibbens showed us that Big-Ten ready players can come from awful FCS teams. Worst case is he provides depth at a position of need for a scholarship that otherwise...

    Who replaces Wilt

D-line recruiting has been excellent these past two years, and our D-line on the field this year was probably the best it’s been this millennia. No clue if that is all on Wilt, but surely some of it is.

    Wilt to Indiana

This off season just feels like one step forward, 1.5 steps back so far. Need to get some momentum going.
