It can be true both that the Gophers thought this schedule was going to look better and that it is a terrible schedule, unworthy of this team. I'd bet if anyone did talk to the coach about this, she'd agree that she wishes they were being challenged more (at least I hope so). The lousy schedule...

Gophers are counting on the conference schedule. Even undefeated, they are in the 130s, RPI-wise.

...and I don't think she'll be under the radar for long, if she is at all -- particularly now that the team is without Braun.

This team is way more fun to watch than the last several have been. The last two "crowds" have not been inspiring but let's hope the word gets out.

Re the speculation that Oehrlein might be reclassifying, a la Borowitz: I assume that might have been announced when she announced her choice, so it's likely moot, but also it doesn't seem to make much sense for her, does it? Competition is good, obviously, but the Gophers seem pretty set for...

I just realized what you were talking about here. I assumed you were talking about the Tori who's, you know, actually on the team and that I had missed a McKinney injury or something. A good reminder that first names are not super-helpful on their own, especially when there's more than one...

I like McKinney starting instead of GG. And I think Stewart is an obvious starter over Hart.

(It's worth noting that Missouri is in trouble as a program -- a lame duck coach, in her final contract year, presumably, is having trouble attracting players.)
