    Gary Parrish/CBS BB

I think he's pretty good. As someone mentioned, him and Norlander do a quality podcast. Like everyone he has some wild takes at times but mostly he's very on par I will say, with his rankings even more than polls in general. Don't read too much into them because he updates them A LOT and its...

    2024-25 Wild Season

Gotta wrap up games in a 82 game regular season. And it’s a far better way than a SO. Which is why they moved to 3 on 3 so OT can actually decides games. Good to see the wild win a few. We are pretty hit or miss every year after regulation.

Initial Net Rankings - Not Pretty

Incomplete Definitely better than last year(tough not to be) Mid 50s in KenPom, Mid 40s in NET. But they have play 6 Q4 games out of their 7. Lost their Q1 game to Memphis. Basically theyve pounded really shitty teams and only shitty teams well enough to keep metrics respectable.

Initial Net Rankings - Not Pretty

Update. Today Marquette has jumped Florida in the NET Neither team played yesterday. None of their opponents did either. So one of their opponents, opponents must have done something. And the margin was small to begin with Another reason people shouldn’t sweat the NET this early. Unless it’s...

Initial Net Rankings - Not Pretty

Yeah when over 50% of your schedule is really really bad teams it’s gonna weigh ya down big time. But they do have 2 Q1 games played already. So their SOS would be frowned upon much less than a team like the gophers. Who have zero and a poor SOS.

Initial Net Rankings - Not Pretty

Well polls are completely irrelevant to that SOS is just that. Illinois has played some ghastly buy games.

    Amir Coffey getting more PT

He's carved himself out a real nice role. It's basically a cliche at this point with how obvious it is, but if you can combine good positional size with high end outside shot making. You will have a role in the league. And he's grown into a very good outside shooter

What is this team’s best starting 5?

I'd work Edmonds into that rotation consistently. His length/activity/athleticism is needed in Big10 play down low to give any sort of a chance

Initial Net Rankings - Not Pretty

Wichita has a top 100 net(barely but they do) That's a Q2 win by 38 on a neutral floor. The NET takes efficiency heavily into account and that's where Florida is thriving. Home/away. Good vs bad. That all matters for NET too. But efficiency is the common denominator. Now as far as the NCAA...

Initial Net Rankings - Not Pretty

Florida beat the brakes off Wichita on a neutral floor. NET factors in destruction a lot. Its a little surprising because they don't have much quality in terms of wins and the rest of their games were consistent covers but nothing outrageous. But yeah, that basically explains it. Cover...

Initial Net Rankings - Not Pretty

Johnny already summed this up But that's not how medical waivers work. Its not the same as a normal redshirt(which maybe Cochran could be eligible for since he hasnt played in a game yet) The medical redshirt isn't even a redshirt. Its a hardship waiver and you don't get to just "choose to sit...

Need to keep winning games. Obviously gonna make the playoffs and almost certainly wont win the division. But huge difference between getting the top wild card(or at least the top 2) compared to getting the 7 seed and having to face Philly So don't want to go on a slide. Would like to see more...

    2024-25 Wild Season

I'm thinking this is just a little sign that Billy is playing for the next couple years. With all the money coming off the books at season end. I don't think draft picks are the short term priority. We have an awesome core that we need to add on to. I know this move is a young player that's a...

That's the correct move Unless its Maui(ironically where he got rolled) or like Atlantis. MTEs are mostly stupid. Its not like Hurley will refuse to schedule good teams. But games in home arenas are far better than some random gym in the south

All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

This is a wide open year. I think Auburn is clearly the deepest team. But have flaws in how they play fast and loos, Duke is the most top end talented by far. But need the freshman to get clutch/guard play Kansas is good on paper but the random transfers still a mix. If you picked 5 teams and...

Yeah its a very interesting Convo on how much these kids know about their roles. I will say, it did seem like he started out as a starting player and TAMU kinda transitioned so it may have to do with things didn't fit as planned. Also nothing is ever guaranteed as we all know. I think the...

Now I'm saying this without knowing the paycheck But I don't blame Payne for leaving for pay, because that dude is a flawed ass player. Role guy on any team with a pulse.
