He was a pretty highly touted 4-star out of IMG. Edit correction: I take that back. 247 sports had him as a composite 4-star but they had him as a 3-star. If I recall correctly, he had a very high upside physically but modest football-playing experience.

Was Howden a walk on? For the kid to come in lightly recruited, get playing time as a freshman, develop into an All BG10 player, then ultimately stick to an NFL roster is quite the accomplishment for both player and program.
