Highest graded returning B1G WRs (1. Rashod Bateman, Minn)

Whatever the term we were still a run first team and an RPO team so teams had to at least respect and pay attention to the run. The only games where we really struggled running the ball (after the non con) were IA and WI when we were down a starter

Highest graded returning B1G WRs (1. Rashod Bateman, Minn)

He also is on an offense that's more one dimensional. They have another solid WR but the run game isn't great. As great as Bateman was teams had to worry about our run game and TJ so they couldn't focus on him.

All Things Tyrell Terry Recruiting Thread (Class of 2019 PG)

I doubt Tre drops that far. I've seen him anywhere from late lottery to late 20s. Thing is I think he's pretty 'safe'. Tre's gonna play in the league a long time because teams absolutely know he's going to defend guards and wings, he'll run an offense and be smart with the ball. Even if the...

All Things Tyrell Terry Recruiting Thread (Class of 2019 PG)

maayybe. Tre's thing is he has pretty much everything else teams love other than the shot. If Tyus and Tre were combined they'd be an easy 10 year starter in the league lol

All Things Tyrell Terry Recruiting Thread (Class of 2019 PG)

he gone. He's getting legit 1st round buzz and may even move up into the early 20's. Seems like the word is the kid has definite NBA level skill and the only thing keeping him back is his physical profile but that will likely improve. He's not physically mature yet.

7 Footer Liam Robbins from Drake Commits

Gillepsie was 6'9" out of HS and was riding the bench at Augsburg, a DIII school his freshman year. A few years later he's 2nd team all conference on a top 3 team in the country. It can happen

Andy Staples on PJ Fleck’s future: Go to a “blueblood” or stay at Minnesota?

With PJ being young and having a young family I think that he'll be here for a bit. I honestly think he'll eventually end up at a Notre Dame type program eventually or even a Florida. A Blue Blood that is successful and good but trying to take the next step to be a consistent title contender...

Schutte: You have to be quarantined with 3 Big Ten football coaches for 15 days. Who do you choose and why?

If I want to become a better person through sheer force of will, PJ's on the list. If I want to relax and not have someone in my ear every hour, definitely NOT picking PJ.

2021 NFL Draft: Rashod Bateman a true No. 1 wide receiver in Minnesota

CAB will be very good next year. I don't think he'll be at TJ's level where you can count on him to be consistently open on 3rd down. He has a big catch radius but he wasn't all that great at making contested catches last year after that Fresno catch. There were a number of 3rd downs where he...

ESPN: Wide Receiver tiers in the draft

NFL cares about size and speed. TJ isn't 'fast' so it will always be an uphill battle until he proves it on the NFL field.

Minnesota to hire Paul Haynes as cornerbacks coach

I think when you see a former D1 HC being hired as CB coach it's a safe assumption that his tenure as an HC didn't go great. But he's way overqualified for this position which is great

    Ryan Burns on Kaden Johnson

Think this is all a combination of a few things - Kaden being a solid P5 prospect but not quite as good as his initial rankings which changed fan perception of how important he was as a recruit - Him wanting bigger offers - Him not actually knowing where he wanted to go - Teams being willing to...

The Athletic: How Minnesota’s 2016 class helped turn the program around

I disagree. Mitch was at best an average Power 5 QB and honestly that was only because of his running ability which was efficient but far from dynamic. It was very reasonable to hope/expect for a QB that could be an average to above average QB. I'd argue that Annexstad in his few games...

The Athletic: How Minnesota’s 2016 class helped turn the program around

Mitch was fine but was on a team good enough to make major waves if he was actually good. That said, his WRs weren't the greatest

    "Minny"

I don't love it. But I have to be honest here... I also don't like the word 'Gophers'. I mean I like Goldy and all but being out of the state it feels corny every time I say it.

Ciarrocca on PSU: “I really wanted to coach at a school where I felt like we had a legitimate chance to win a national championship"

Not a big deal. He took another gig, one 99% of people agree is an upgrade from his last one, and speaks highly of the program. He did his job well here and wanted to move on. More power to him.

Marshall, MN DE commits to Iowa

If you dont feel like a kid is all that interested then move on. Doesnt sojnd like Black had much real interest in MN and was always an Iowa lean. Cool thing, but the reason hes not at MN has nothing to do with pressure. Job offers often come with time frames. You get a girls information and...

Jackson: Big-time colleges care more about money and winning than black athletes getting degrees

White people have been entertained by black folks even when they considered them sub human. If you think that's an argument for NOT being racist then whoo boy are you living in a bubble. slave masters listened to black folks play music, watched them dance, listened to them sing, and even had...

Jackson: Big-time colleges care more about money and winning than black athletes getting degrees

What about when murder was legal yet white communities lynched black people and shared pictures all over town? How about when black people's civil liberties were trampled over for an entire century until more laws had to be passed to force people to 'stop'. How about when the government...
