I see we have the cloud-yeller generation here. NBC paid a ton of $ to the conference. That helps the school more than the refusal to pay $10 a month hurts. This ain’t going back.

Do you have Peacock? You can complain about having to pay for it, but it's the same as NBC-level production - same announcers and studio hosts and everything. Are you confusing it with BTN+, which is truly horrible?

This was correct. But I think this is another thing that's changing, too. I doubt recruits (at least the ones worth having) worry much about whether the coach is going to be there. If he gets fired, you can easily enter the portal if the new guy isn't a fit for you. The player might be thinking...

This little tiff reminds me of the discussion of MN native, Eli King, who entered the portal after barely playing with Iowa State his freshman year. A lot of folks on this board were confident that if he would just sign with MN, he'd be good. He ended up at UND - he plays a lot of minutes, but...

I think where people lump in Coyle is that it is his job to put each of the sports - particularly the ones that generate revenue - in the best positions to succeed. He can't coach the teams, but he has to get them the resources they need to be competitive. Not happenin' for men's basketball...

He played 40 minutes last night and is averaging 25 for the year, and more lately. Even if he's not on the court at tip-off, he is essentially a starter.

Just to set the record straight, Bennett was head coach at UWGB and Ryan at UW-Milw when they were hired at Wisconsin - they had that stepping stone of D1 after their D3 success. Ryan had also been an assistant at Wisconsin prior to going to Platteville.

Based on what we know about him, I kinda think he does. In a way, he may be right. There's probably 10 other teams that are equally as hard (especially on their home floor), but not necessarily harder.
