They really haven't been anything of note since Pete Carroll. Since them they have been was a team that recruits some big names and then you never hear about them again ... and they seem to have been propped up by the low end of the PAC-12 record wise.

Some teams will HAVE to some years. But I'm not sure many choose to go all portal by choice all the time.

If for some reason Ivy teams started dominating I wonder what the other FCS teams operating under scholarship limits. Meanwhile Ivy teams with "no scholarships" have their players ... almost all of them qualify for "full ride" income based scholarships. Granted I don't know that anyone wants...

How much is "a ton"? Everyone is losing some ... what you bring in matters.

I tend to cheer for the underdog and teams I know + don’t dislike. Indiana it is!

Does FCS really ... get you more money?

I'm curious what students pushed for it .... I've watched their games on TV. Nobody is there, often even for the "big" games. I'm wondering if this is folks advocating for change that they don't even participate in? Maybe it was just players?

It wouldn't have an impact, but there are scholarship limits and rules that are different outside the Ivy. It's going to be interesting.

Did they decide their insulated sort of setup wasn't working anymore? They going to add formal scholarships?

I'm guessing with us presumably bringing WRs in he sees the writing on the wall and wants a good shot at getting on the field. I don't blame him.

Would be nice to see more balance... I don't know if it will continue though. We went through a brutal streak where even non-revenue coaching salaries were skyrocketing and that made zero sense ....

Can't go all CIA on these guys because they got recruited in the past... And really it's not that weird that a guy might chose someplace with a coach he already got along with.

I wish I knew what the motivation of those folks are, it's especially prevalent in sports forums. Team picks up a guy, you got an opportunity to see it as a positive ... nope better piss and moan. I don't get it.

Such a tough decision, unfair to put guys in that spot but the academic calendar is what it is.
