The solution to me is to have a replay official immediately looking at the play instead of the refs in the game. That’s half the problem. Sometimes 2-3 minutes have gone by by the time the refs are actually starting to watch the replay.

Going this route would eliminate about 2 weeks off of the regular season. So it would mean two less Tuesday games, Wednesday, etc. A Saturday afternoon ratings is less than Saturday evening but probably still higher than most games during the week.

The season is too long. Last year opening day was March 28 and if the WS had gone 7 games it would have ended on Nov 2. That's 219 days. The further baseball goes into football season the harder it is to keep people interested. They should cut back on the playoffs but like you said that will...
