You're absolutely right. I don't get this black or white mentality: good or bad and nothing in-between. The same thing applies to the Gophers 7 Quad 1 wins. That's good! But, their 1-8 record in Quad 2 & 3 games is bad so it averages out to not good enough.

Nevertheless, I would hope that a final four run would give a coach here more breathing room than one year. NC State hadn't been in the final four since Jim Valvano's 1983 national championship.
