Honestly it might be easier to just track who is staying at their current school. I mean I guess you can't fault players for seeing what they can get from unrestricted free agency but it is pretty ridiculous the way players have no loyalty of any kind towards the school they are currently at...

Yeah....even the most negative and cynical around here will be hard pressed to truly hate on this hire. I'm sure some Cs will pop up eventually but will be surprised if we see any legit D-F grades from someone who isn't just trolling to be a prick.

NCAA tournament remains a great measuring stick. Needs at least one trip to the tournament over the next 4 years. That alone would be a massive improvement over where the program has been.

You could be right you could be wrong....but I agree fully that it is time to move on and put the Ben Johnson years in the rear view mirror. In the long run they will probably be viewed very much like the Tim Brewster year's in football.

This one played out just like the Fleck hire. He identified the coach he wanted and went out and got him. Definitely provides more evidence that others were influencing/pulling the strings during the last basketball hire.

This is great news for the short term future of this forum. Medved seems like a pretty popular choice so we might even see some positivity around here for a change. If he can bring a few players with him and make some nice portal additions we might even see.....optimism start to creep back...

McCollum is 43 and Medved is 51.....so potential there for both of them to lead their respective programs for a long time. Gotta think this is a dream college job for both guys so unless they have NBA aspirations there is a good chance they will stay as long as possible at their new locations...
