Love seeing that Drake(or Harbaugh/Fleck) learned about the value of those check downs from Max. He definitely has better arm talent to stretch the ball down field, but if he can sustain drives with the check downs like Max did I like their chances to be even better on offense this season

I actually really love this move. MSM always knew the defense as well as anybody in the room. He didn’t have the physical tools or speed to play at the next level but he had the mind and intelligence of an NFL linebacker no doubt

Agreed he definitely hasn’t earned anything more yet. I just thought he made a lot of improvements from year 1 to year 2, and if that continues he could be pretty good in the next year or two

I won’t be surprised if Harbaugh, Nick Monroe and Danny Collin’s all need extensions/raises pretty soon. Also wouldn’t be surprised to hear Rutgers has been poking around at Monroe or Collin’s about their DC spot

Looks like he already accepted an invite to the Hula bowl. Also, he had a few option type plays where he kept the ball and ran for a touchdown, one of them was pretty late against USC I think. Definitely wouldn’t consider him a rushing threat, although he is decently mobile when needed.

I love the combo, but absolutely despise that for the second game in a row they have gone back to the wood grain helmet stripe instead of sticking with the one that matches the jersey and pants.

It could be that they are making less work, but I think they also might just want to show off the new stock version of the uniforms and various combos before they start messing with the helmet stickers and facemask changes etc.

If they try to throw and still cant against URI or Nevada, I think we will know/confirm that the passing offense truly is doomed when they face better defenses. Won’t prove anything for future games if they do well, but doing poorly is definitely a bad sign.

After rewatching the game against UNC, I don’t feel as hopeless for this offensive group as I did immediately after the game. Same with the defense, if they stop with the dumb penalties and cut the missed tackles a bit they will keep us in some games. Going forward I really really hope PJ allows...
