Yeah I agree, Moore has his limitations offensively for sure (though he's not that far below PPG in his career), but I definitely wouldn't accuse him of being checked out. He plays hard, he just lacks finishing ability and his hockey IQ is average at best. I don't think he's at all ready to go...

Countless great players are not great in the shootout. Alex Ovechkin is below 30% for his career, Marian Gaborik was notoriously bad in the shootout. heck a quick scan of all time NHL shootout % leaders has some pretty underwhelming names at the top. Croosby and Ovi don't even crack the top 100.

Look this is a message board and we are all entitled to our own opinions and reality is we are just fans watching on our couch who have no impact on the games. Am I disappointed in our poor OT/Shootout performances? A little bit, in the sense that they might cost us another B1G championship...

Well we lead the country in goals and are second in goals per game so yeah I’m not concerned about a lack of offensive skill. I’ll live with the shootout losses.

I hope they don’t, because it’s terrible hockey, and it’s not how postseason games are decided. I really don’t care if we lose every shootout for the next 20 years, which it kind of looks like we might lol. More isn’t made of our shootout woes because they don’t impact the pairwise.

Didn’t say I like it, I just don’t see it as the end of the world like you. I’m frustrated because it feels like we should have had both, and it would have been awesome to sweep both Michigan and Wisconsin on the season, but life moves on and we’re still a contender.
