Maybe. Memba was not a real good shooter- shot 10 3's all year....but what you say is true about Niko's teams- skilled players. Payne was much improved this year but still has no shooting range. What he can do now is post up at the FT line and drive it very effectively. He's also not a bad passer.

Asuma is going to be a great player for Medved.

I wouldn't say best player for the Gophs in the last decade. But...this is a kid who shoots the 3 at 45%, plays smart and has a great handle. Huge to get him here.

In the end, we were fortunate enough to have "one of us" match up with the "big name coach/winning coach" checkbox. Medved showed this year that he is a big time coach. I love what I saw in the tournament with a team that was physically overmatched but simply played smarter and more skilled...

Boom! I didn't trust Coyle to get this done- but I was wrong. He did the right thing, wrapped up Medved right after Ben was fired. He was ready and he executed. I now, cannot help but think that Niko was the guy Coyle wanted 4 years ago as well, but was over ruled. Had Coyle not moved quickly...

Oturu didn't play because he was getting burned on defense, if I recall correctly. I don't think he was hurt. They put in Omersa and he played with great energy under the bucket on defense.

They know what is happening. Not asking the question was the right thing to do under the circumstances. You don't want to put the coach in a position where he either has to lie or hurt people in a presser.
