What grade would you give the Gophers 2024 football season?

I think preseason most would’ve taken 6-7 wins, so I give 8 wins a B. One more win and it’d be an A for me. Unfortunate to lose to UNC and Rutgers, but let’s not act like those losses were anything like the Bowling Green loss. While not great, those two teams have some talent and were bowl...

    B1G vs SEC

All I know is nobody remembers how up or down the conference was years down the road. If the conference has to be down a bit for us to win it so be it. Of course ideally you’d be the best of the best.

Transfer Portal so far (UM, IA, NE, WI)

Iowa seems to do well keeping their players, but doesn’t seem like they’re able to have great success with incoming transfers.

Transfer Portal so far (UM, IA, NE, WI)

I’m not thrilled to lose McWilliams, but it was going to take another year or two before he’d be contributing. Other than that, pretty sweet to only be losing Daniels. Especially since we brought in three other olinemen with P4 starts.

    Last 5 full seasons

Even Nebraska appeared in two different years, including a preseason rank coming off back to back four win seasons.

    Deep passing game

Yeah I don’t know about opening things up, but I just think it’s tough to string together long drive after long drive of a bunch of plays and then execute in the red zone. Just opens up so many chances to make an error. With a veteran qb like Brosmer with his smarts and skills it works...

    Deep passing game

I’d argue it was the only that did them good, other than the reverse run play.

    Deep passing game

Tanner was pretty accurate on the deep ball. He completed plenty to Jackson and CrAB as well. No matter how you define it, we didn’t have many explosive pass plays this year.

    Deep passing game

As great as Brosmer was this year the deep passing game just never clicked pretty much all year. If next years QB, presumably Lindsey, and the new batch of WRs can get that clicking, it should help make up for what I predict will be some drop off in efficiency from what Brosmer provided.

Official 2025 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

That’s unfortunate, tough for young WRs to crack the lineup here as typically we don’t see a ton of production beyond the third wr, or even the second many years. Nice to see Nuke flash in the bowl a little bit, and Lanier was open for a td but Brosmer missed him. Brockington could see an...

Back to Ohio? That’s where he transferred from to us.

I’d be surprised if Geers left at this point. He’s stuck it out this long and is starting to really shine here.

    B1G vs SEC

It’s just annoying when they act like the SEC is in its own level somewhere between college and NFL. Also when you had more teams than every other conference for years of course you can produce more good teams.

VT does, we don’t have that many green players out there.

To be fair he would’ve had to get through like five blockers on that play.
