Hallman: Black coaches' shelf life is much shorter & benefit of the doubt much less practiced as opposed to their White counterpart

Last offseason, for the guys who were fired (didn't go to a comparable job elsewhere), the conference winning percentage for the African American coaches was .364 and the winning percentage for the white coaches who were fired was .471. These numbers include Howard's numbers (by far the...

Should the Gophers go after Will Wade? | BMTN video

Yep, I can tell you just about everything about that guy by his take on this situation.

    New Coach Short List

I'm really hoping this isn't our game plan again. I also can't see any similarities between Ryan Saunders and PJ. I followed the Wolves about as closely as anyone during the Ryan Saunders years and I can barely remember what he sounded like (he dressed nice). PJ, whether you like him or hate...

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

I didn't rip on Pat for his tweet. I ripped on him for being sensitive. I don't think he was being racist in his tweet, I think he was being a grumpy old woman. I've read Pat's columns for years and I think we just see him differently. He argues like an angry and bitter old woman. He brings up...

    New Coach Short List

I really like Hodgson. Also, if you’ve ever seen a picture of the guy with his wife, it should clear up any doubts anyone has on whether or not he’ll be able to recruit.

    COYLE FIRES BEN JOHNSON!!!!!!

I think you want all the attention while hiring not necessarily while firing someone. I don’t see how it does hs any good to get a ton of attention to highlight how awful of a program we have.

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

I don’t have Twitter and I wouldn’t follow Pat if I did. My contention with Pat not being a troll is that he is way too sensitive. The whole idea of trolling is to get a negative reaction. It’s the purpose. You can”t troll and thhen delete your Twitter because of some backlash.

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

My honest opinion is that I think Reusse got his feelings hurt by people on Gopherhole and does things to try to annoy people on this site. I think it has less to do with PJ and more to do that this site generally likes PJ. I think it’s why he was harsher on some folks more than Ben Johnson. I...

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

He doesn’t troll. Trolls don’t delete their accounts when they get backlash, they say the controversial things for the purpose of getting backlash. The whole idea of being a troll is like being a heel in wrestling. You can’t be a heel/troll if you are bothered and cry about the negative reaction.

What was your favorite Patrick Reusse moment?

This is the answer. Looked awful but turned out to be nothing. However, Fat Pat can’t bring himself to just handle it like an adult. Makes it seem orchestrated.

ESPN's Jeff Borzello: "As of time of publish, it seems Ben Johnson is likely to get another year at Minnesota."

Yep, I love hoop, so I follow. The Gophers are just completely irrelevant. I had a lot of buddies from HS who went to MIAC schools who were hardcore basketball fans, and I always thought it would be difficult to follow a sport but not really have a team. That’s what this feels like. Btw- I was...

    Pantherhawk

He also was caught writing Harry Potter fan fiction (no joke). That said, I don't think it was the making fun of him that got him to stop. The guy had no shame and was getting crap about that stuff for years. My personal opinion is that he started going down a really weird path, even for him...

Seth Davis: Ben Johnson has done an incredible job with this team. One of the elite coaches in one of the toughest jobs in America.

I never said Seth Davis was a DEI apologist. I said the random guy you quoted as not being a DEI apologist whose top two tweets were both DEI mumbo jumbo.

Seth Davis: Ben Johnson has done an incredible job with this team. One of the elite coaches in one of the toughest jobs in America.

It is not an extreme take to say he should never have been considered for the job. I cannot think of a person with less of a resume that has ever been given a B1G basketball position. I actually think it's less of an extreme take to say he should never have been hired than it is to say he should...

Seth Davis: Ben Johnson has done an incredible job with this team. One of the elite coaches in one of the toughest jobs in America.

You argue like a chick. Your point was awful, so now you're doing this weird irony/sarcasm thing. I think he could definitely coach HS or some lower level. He could also get another assistant job. It's kind of like Ryan Saunders, now that he has this on his resume (undeservedly), he might also...
