Naz Reid is expected to opt out of his contract this summer and enter free agency

It is more than just that. Randle doesn't work next to Rudy/Jaden. Naz works much better between those two.

Naz Reid is expected to opt out of his contract this summer and enter free agency

I felt the same way. Thought we looked a lot like last year's team. That's why I think the Wolves are not that far away with this core. Just need to make a few changes and find a better player leader to help them on the court and they'll be just fine. I think they really miss that from Slo Mo.

Where were you during the 8 game winning streak? The Wolves are 2-2 vs OKC this season. The Wolves are frustratingly inconsistent this season. They won't win any games when Ant plays this terrible and his injury probably has something to do with it. Indiana is also pretty good.

This team hasn't had a leader all season. It's the #1 thing they need to find in the offseason.

Maybe the first time I've agreed with Ruesse on anything. Duran's velocity was down last spring too, landed him on the IL, then he was a little shaky to start. He was pretty good mid-season, then struggled down the stretch. I don't think Duran will hold up long term and they already have a...

Who will have a better career? Medved at Minnesota or McCollum at Iowa?

I think both are good coaches, but Niko is a safer choice due to his experience, not just because I am a Gopher fan. I feel the same way about McCollum as I did about Craig Smith 4 years ago. Great coach with a good system that won at a lower level. But can he recruit at a high enough level to...

No, and the coach would. PJ brought Gerrit Chernoff with him and he has been the football GM since 2017.

***OFFICIAL NIKO MEDVED OPENING PRESS CONFERENCE THREAD!!!***

This just isn't true. No one expected Ben to hit the same numbers as the teams with the highest resources. But Ben's resources were still better than 80% of the country. But I'm not going to continue to beat this dead horse because it has been discussed enough the last 4 years. Ben was a...

Naz Reid is expected to opt out of his contract this summer and enter free agency

Naz would play 5-8 more minutes per game as a starter. In 17 games as a starter this season he's averaging 18.3 PPG, 9 REB, 3.2 AST, 1.3 BLK's. Randle is averaging 18.7 PPG, 7 REB, 4.6 AST, 0.2 BLK's. Naz doesn't just play against other teams bench players, no teams rotate 5 guys in and 5 guys...

How far has Phoenix gone in the postseason with Durant again? Phoenix had one of the better young cores in the league and destroyed it by getting Durant. The Wolves would be doing the same. The Wolves would have to ship out at minimum Randle and McDaniels to get the Suns interested and make...

All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Coach Fired/Hired/Retired Thread

What pettiness? All I heard from the local media and several in the national media that Ben is a great coach and has done a great job at the hardest major conference job out there. Why isn't he a candidate for other jobs?

The difference is you listed out about 50% of the starters needed to field a competitive football team, where as the post you responded to mentioned 80% of the starters needed to be a competitive basketball team. You also need to go 2 deep in football due to more injuries, where as in basketball...

Naz Reid is expected to opt out of his contract this summer and enter free agency

It won't be just those 3, they also are developing the young guards and will have future draft picks/FA/trades to add other players. Getting Durant also doesn't make any sense. He'll make 55 million next year and will be 37 years old. Connelly shipped out KAT to develop a young, cheaper core...
