Big Ten Intro to the Air Raid

Outside of Ohio State, Michigan, and PSU this describes every team in the B1G every year.

    ESPN Big Ten Predictions

I think Washington State get them in week 2. They got a pretty good QB coming back and their leading rusher returns as well.

Are the Gophers better than everyone says they are?

This would be 100% true if college football was structured like the NFL with it's design of creating competitive balance among all 32 teams. The reality is that college football is built on a very unequal playing ground. The only way programs like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Iowa...

Joel Klatt ranks college football's preseason top 25

Local beat writers are calling Wisconsin's WR group the most talented the program has had in decades, maybe ever. They seem pretty confident Fickell has completely retooled that position.

Movies that hold up vs. those that don't

I believe part of the reason that the Wooderson character got bigger during the shoot was because Jason London and Shawn Andrews didn't get along at all and their characters, Pink and Pickford, were supposed to be buddies and the original plan was for the 2 of them and their girlfriends to be...

Don't be surprised if the SEC and Big Ten go pro in the future...

The NFL isn't worried about losing to anyone. If they want to put their games on a particular day of the week or specific day of the year they will do so and dominate.

    PAC 12 Dissolution

Enlighten me then. Why didn't the B1G take Washington & Oregon a year ago? Do you you think if the Pac 12 would have decided to stay together Friday morning that the B1G would have pressed the issue and offered more to get them to jump ship?

    PAC 12 Dissolution

If the B1G really wanted them they would have taken them 12 months ago and made them full share members like USC & UCLA. They didn't. It sounds like they didn't even consider it after vetting them. Every B1G school took a pay cut to take those 2. There is only one reason to make that kind of...

Breaking from the Athletic: Big 10 to invite Washington and Oregon

I'm sure that was what most people would have said a few years ago if asked, "Will the B1G add USC, UCLA, Washington, & Oregon?" In fact the question was so out there nobody would have bothered asking it. Now here we are in that reality. The only thing that is 100% certain here is money will...

Breaking from the Athletic: Big 10 to invite Washington and Oregon

So what happens when Ohio State, Michigan, & USC come to the same conclusion that FSU has already come to? Which is they are the ones drawing the eyeballs and driving up tv revenue so they should have a larger piece of the pie than they conference peers and if they don't get it there might be...

Breaking from the Athletic: Big 10 to invite Washington and Oregon

There is reason for concern for all of the mid-tier programs in the conference. A buddy of mine caught the end of a B1G expansion discussion on XM earlier today that mentioned Iowa as an example of a school that could get pushed out or made to accept a smaller piece of the pie to stay.

    PAC 12 Dissolution

I think it was a fear based move by the B1G. They didn't add Oregon & Washington because they wanted to as much as they added them because they didn't want them joining the Big 12 or SEC. If they really wanted them, they would have invited them when they brought in USC and UCLA. The Big 12 is...

    PAC 12 Dissolution

But the B1G & SEC blue bloods will be stuffing their pockets with cash. And in college football is more about money than it is about winning games.

Breaking from the Athletic: Big 10 to invite Washington and Oregon

Unless Cal agrees to accept a quarter share of annual revenue for the entirety of their membership they'll never be invited to the B1G. They add nothing. Stanford's only chance of getting into the B1G is if ND makes it a condition that they are a package deal.

Gophers/Huskers Line: Minnesota –7.5 vs. Nebraska (Thursday, Aug. 31) & Other BT Opening Week Lines

If this line holds I will be jumping all over the Gophers to cover at home unless they have a ton of preseason injuries. Nebraska will be tougher and better. But I think they'll try to outmuscle the Gophers and that isn't a good idea.
