I had a lot of fun bringing my 7 year old and his two buddies to the game today. Trying to do my part to get the next generation into it. I love the Barn and the boys had a great time. For an 11am tip and a lot of empty seats, I thought the energy was decent from the crowd. Players certainly...
It’s kind of interesting thinking on the OP…. Others have said this before, but the Ben Johnson hire seems out of place for Coyle. Who all has he hired in the major sports?
Fleck (home run. Very hot name at the time)
Motzko (home run)
Whalen (tbd but as has been discussed lot of reasons to...
I don’t even think it’s that radical of a thought. That’s what happened plus Fleck’s weird obsession with Tressel-ball. He loves Mo, wants to get him a bunch of records and can play Tressel-ball all at the same time.
Yeah Chad Salmela- not there anymore but enjoy his commentary during the Olympics.. Immediately made Scholastica relevant in NCAA skiing nationally.
Actually my buddies and I were talking about this recently: it would not take much budget for the U to make a nationally competitive ski team...
Yeah skiing definitely one championship. St Olaf’s Nordic ski team used to compete with D1 schools until very, very recently. Now they just compete against other club teams in the area.
NCAA skiing championships are combined Nordic and Alpine so your skiers in each discipline count towards...
Agree with a lot of posters, I’m not too concerned after last night either. I’m assuming they got a chance to work on a lot of stuff, use different player combinations, etc.
Only thing that caused me concern was Gophers 2-12 shooting 3s in the first half. They weren’t even very contested...
HC is only in his second year. New AD this year also seems young, energetic, minority and motivated. I think give them some time.
It’s been like what’s been discussed in this thread- most of the football kids who don’t want to get beat down every night have transferred or just don’t go out...
Feel like there’s certainly a chance we don’t get ranked… Florida, Wake Forest, Texas, Miami all certainly drop out, but we were 33rd last week. Do we really just 8+ spots? I’d hope so/think so, but MSU wasn’t ranked so maybe not?
Thrilled. As people have discussed it was great to see the Gophers rolling non conference opponents and didn’t even appear they were opening the playbook too much (I had heard that as an excuse for why we’d only squeak past opponents like South Dakota State and Fresno State in previous years)...
