Or they will give two different scholarships to players. That's how they operate. It's why they are out of the MIAC.

Ervin: If Minnesota keeps winning, P.J. Fleck will get tantalizing offers to leave. But should he?

Another bogus article. I just want to see more seasons like last year before I get all worked up if Fleck leaves for a different school. IMO, if he leaves I hope the Gophers are in a better position than the one he inherited.

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

I am guessing adding the Twin Cities market probably trumps everything. Just that alone probably is worth the hassle of not having a D1 hockey arena.

There is no stability in the Summit it seems schools come in and out often.

Greder: U displaying its 2019 BT West trophy in the Larson Football Performance Center.

I don't understand all the negative comments here. Look, this team is finally on the rise and winning games if it helps recruiting than it was worth the banner.

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

Rumor has it the school may demolish the football stadium and build a 3,500 to 5,500 hockey/basketball arena. Then the football team will try to play games at Alianz Field. This is where the sticking point will be in my opinion.

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

I believe they went to MIAC and laid out a plan with their friends to make the move. STU will still work with their old MIAC/ACTC rivals.

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

NDSU president Dr. Dean Bresicani said, there are over 40,000 Summit League alumni living the Twin Cities. I am guessing for the first few years the Tommies will have mostly road fans at their games.

NCAA Ruling Allows D-III St. Thomas to Make Unprecedented Leap to D-I

IMO, this was a set up by the MIAC to help UST make the D1 jump.

St. Thomas - Are They Hosed?

Off of the top of my head I do know UST has billionaire Lee R. Anderson (API Group) and Jerry O'Shaughnessy (Lario Oil & Gas)( GeoPark Limited )(I.A. O'Shaughnessy Foundation), Patrick O'Shaughnessy and Michael O'Shaughnessy. There are others.

Indeed. What does this have to do with moving to D1 athletics?

Shama: U Coach May Help Change Baseball

This makes sense to do especially with the south east based MLS teams drawing huge crowds like Atlanta United. IMO, this area will have more competition so it's better to change now before it's too late and kids leave the sport for ever.

STrib: What if the Gophers played North Dakota State?

Look, if you want to play the big dogs then it's time to move up a level. More importantly will NDSU schedule St. Thomas when they move up? If not then stop whining.
