***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

So who is to blame for Garcia being on the court… I know that’s ultimately on Ben, but we don’t have anybody else on the bench with any common sense there?

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

In regards to stupid fouls, Payne to his credit has done a very good job hedging without fouling so far.

I know Mitchell shouldn’t leave his feet, but they never make that call in College. That’s a terrible call.

    All Things Weakling Wednesday

Rutgers with the big W at home against Northwestern. It might have been the worst no call I’ve seen in a while against Boo Bouie. Arguably just as bad as the call against New York the other night. They played well enough to get the W regardless.

    Ohio State fires Holtmann

Yeah I’d personally be happy with hiring Holtmann. He’s a proven commodity. A couple down years, but I’d at least expect to be respectable again. Still expecting Ben to be the coach next year and hoping he can find his stride as his recruits get older.

    As in Holtmann’s agent…

    Ohio State fires Holtmann

So umm… does Coyle shoot his agent a text to see if there’s interest?

Ben Johnson: “We lost our edge. Even though we were up the energy, the vibe wasn’t what it needed to be. We got low into their pace.”

I love to rip on refs as much as the next guy, but our players deserve 95% of the blame for picking up most of those brutally stupid fouls that got us in trouble. Then the injury compounded the problem.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT IOWA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I was thinking that, but just not the same on the road and an injury. Still disheartening to say the least. Need a spark.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT IOWA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

They also beat us by 9 at home. Seems fair, especially given your valid point of how difficult it is to win on the road in college basketball these days.

Cam Christie = a young Quincy Lewis

If only Payne could develop into Shaq we’d be NcAA champs!

***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN STATE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Unbelievable how it almost always comes down to free throws (cumulatively or end of game).

    Michigan St. Tuesday

Yeah he had a bizarre take that implied we needed to shoot some crazy FG% AND shoot better FT%. Naturally when we shot well (23-26, 16-21) we won the close games instead of losing like we did to the Skunks (5-13 FT shooting). Absolutely agree that we need to shoot well from the FT line, but have...

***OFFICIAL NORTHWESTERN AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

They’d arguably be a top 25 team tbh. 16-5 overall and 4th in the B1G. But that’s not how this works.

    Brevyn Spann-Ford Senior Bowl measurements

I feel like his impact will be made blocking. I’m sure he wants to be Travis Kelce (don’t we all?), but he just has to be an adequate receiver near the goal line and could stay in the NFL for a long time.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PENN ST IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Don’t play Ihnen at all unless Payne is out or in foul trouble. Give Fox every minute of his until further notice

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PENN ST IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Fox was arguably the star of the game and he is just as bad if not worse!

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PENN ST IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I was going to say earlier, that’s literally the difference between winning and losing each week right about now… see Gophers v Wisco

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PENN ST IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

A win on the road without Payne is pretty impressive regardless of the opponent. Great job finishing without Hawkins too!
